No new players, same injuries, in fact one more (broja) and 2 key home games coming up. Still the same deficiencies in the squad, yet nothing done to address it. Not sure how can we be competitive against villa with the current squad especially considering the injuries we have. Looks to me that the best we can hope is a draw but the most likely result is another loss.i know moyes has just signed, but what have we done with the first 13 days of the window?

Is DCL actually out? I was hoping he just knew it was the end for Dyche and wanted the week off or something. Yes not good from him but this is a real pain as means Beto will have to play the full game and next to no options to change it off the bench upfront or even in the final third unless McNeil could be fit enough to return for this or Spurs.

I think once the initial first 10 minutes of euphoria of Moyes being back and perhaps a quick start with plenty of crosses and odd shot at goal reality will eventually settle in and they'll be a gulf on the pitch in the key areas.

Duran is back for this so he'll start ahead of Watkins I reckon, both CFs love playing against this type of backline.

It'll be interesting to see who he starts up front. Will Beto impress him enough where he thinks he'll be more committed compared to DCL and his contract situation. Or if DCL clears the air with Moyes and tells him he's had it crap as a forward under Dyche and is committed until seasons end.

It's a big call. DCLs all round game is miles better but Beto brings a lot of unpredictability and when he's on the shoulder of his defender, he does make decent runs. Doesn't matter that his goal was against Peterborough, it was a great run and a very tidy finish.

This was a home defeat under Dyche for sure but if Goodison is rocking the story might be different. No Barklay to haunt us and no McGinn for them- who seems to always score against us.
Would not expect too much change in the line up:
Pickford
Young - Tarkowski - Branthwaite - Mykolenko
Doucoure - Gana - Mangala
Lindstrom - DCL - N'Diaye
Coleman and Harrison on around 60 mins and Harrison and Beto on a little later.
Harrison coming on twice?
