I think we'll see something like that, 2-1 Everton. Arteta and Saha with the goals.
Not really, I consider Cahill a forward. It wouldn't be my favoured eleven, but that's what I think Moyes will go for. As long as there's enough creativity in midfield, I can accept the likes of Cahill being selected. Especially Barkley, who should start.
Won't work like that though will it.
Cahill might hang around in the penalty area trying to get on the end of crosses and loose balls but he's not a forward in the traditional 4-4-2 type way.
He will spend a lot of the game in midfield rather than working as a pair with Saha.
Can you see that line up breaking down a stubborn 10 man QPR defence without a little bit of luck coming our way?
This is what I mean. If we had a Landon Donovan type to give us something on the right, with Baines on the left, then I'd fancy our chances better. But without Beckford harrying defences up top and without this pace in the team we're slow and predictable. Crucially, we're easy to defend against.

Only thing which means i wouldn't mind that line up is Barkley.
He will be a surprise package and keen to impress, plus he looked like he had a good creative streak in him in pre season with a willingness to try things rather than a simple pass.
Of course he'll be on the bench and Anichebe will start wide right.
That depends on how the game pans out, really. If QPR somehow put us on the back foot and dominate our midfield then he will drop back, naturally, and I'd expect the same from any player in that position. I think that's very unlikely though, given the strength of our midfield, so he'd be able to occupy his usual role, as a second striker.
Will he be expected to close down the oppositions defensive midfielder and drop into midfield every now and then? Ofcourse, but that's an important part of the role. Saha occupied very similar space when he played alongside Beckford, he just played the role with a completely different style, which was very impressive and gave us something different. But the formation was basically the same. I don't have a problem with that.
If we've got enough creativity behind Saha and Cahill, I can see us breaking them down.
They have selfishly scheduled this for my wedding day. ceremony at 1530 FML.
