We've played them four times at Goodison in the Premier League era:

1992/93 - Lost 5-3 (Cottee, Barlow, Preki) (Impey, Ferdinand x 3, Bardsley)
1993/94 - Lost 3-0 (Allen x3)
1994/95 - Drew 2-2 (Amokachi, Rideout) (Ferdinand x 2)
1995/96 - Won 2-0 (Stuart, Rideout)

Two hat-tricks against us in four games! :( Our last game in the Premier League against them finished 3-1 to QPR at Loftus Road in 1995/6. Ebbrell scored for us. The result meant we dropped to 7th in the league and they moved up to 18th. They were relegated that season, I believe.

A certain Ian Holloway was in their team that day. Hopefully he hasn't given them any advice. As entertaining as our game against Blackpool was last season, I don't want to be put through such a rollercoaster of emotions so soon :)

Thankfully Notlob have burst QPRs promotion bubble on the first day with a whopping 4-0 win away, signs that we should win fairly comfortably. Ha we all know things aren't that simple with us blues.....

an uncomfortable 2-0 victory for us.

Incidentally my uncle used to live on Loftus Road behind the ground alas he hated football so i never went.

After our own frightengly positive start to the season, (2 wins from 3 and only 2 goals conceeded) my son has persuaded me to relax, enjoy myself, and go to Goodison.

Yes, that's what he said.

Anyway, any demolition of the Hoopy****s is to be enjoyed, particularly the demeanour of Neil "Don't worry about Administration Lads we're all in this together but me cos I'm off to qpr now so feck off the lot of yer" Warnock......not that I'm bitter...or anything.
You need to boot the show pony Tarrabt early, he won't come looking for seconds, and then just allow the huge, numerous and flexible blue strike force to do it's usual job.
So,....er....1-0 Blues. 86mins.

(on the way home I'll hear that we were ****ted 4-0 at Hull...and none of you will care... )

My wedding day was 20th May 1989....Bloody rs ruining my day :@

Home Derby last year meant I had to cut my honeymoon short by a day but obv worth it and this year it falls on my first anniversary, good job the missus is easy going otherwise it could be divorce already!

I reckon we'll make hard work of QPR and draw 1-1 or leave it late, 2-1. Despite the doom and gloom this close season it will be good to be back at Goodison. Few quid on Cahill first goal I think.

Great write up - even better than usual Chico! (For some reason I can't give you a rep right now). Love the pictures!

This game feels like it has taken forever to get here. I can't wait.

Little worried about who Moyes will field, but starting to not care. Just want to see 11 Toffees playing football.

God I hope we get off to a good start.

i would have give you a rep for that, lcab will be on his toes now you are the master of this forum, great bit of writing old chap
by the way we will beat this lot.

Hahaha. The edge doesn't need to give me rep, the edge just nods to me in acceptance. That's the best rep a cat on here can get.

Cheers man. I really hope so, or you'll see me sulking afterwards.

we will both be sulking chico if we get beat ,but after watching them last week i think we will stuff them, but then again i think we will beat everbody till about 3.05 when reality sinks in

Yeah me too mate. I spent the second half of Villareal counting the floodlights rather than watching the game as I was that sad.
