Disagree, if any of our players need less playing time (a break) - its him.

I think this is his 16th month of continuous football? - He's used to having his feet up now.

Really? He barely had a kick of the ball when he 1st came here, I dont think he played a game for the 1st month or so. I know he finished the Russian league before coming over, but he's had rest.

If not, Moyes should know this and use him when he's affective - 1st or 2nd half - rather than just let him get burnt out.

Or play him in the middle.

No excuse mate that one mate.

I'll accept fatigue (given the Russian league....), I'll accept he needs time, but I wont accept frustration as a excuse for being a passenger in a lot of games.

I mean if the ball constantly bypass him there's not much he can do really. That's when people start to realise he's actually gone missing which is far from his fault.

I think people talking about relegation need a bit of a reality check. Ok we are all pissed off at not being able to beat the likes of brum, wolves and stoke at home but although the performance wasnt great by any means it certainly wasnt bad and on another day with a bit of luck(saha dissalowed goal) we would have won that game easily. We have sunderland away next week who are sitting in 10th place only 3 points ahead of us and we have a game in hand but all the pundits seem to be mentioning them when talking about european places. On current form they have picked up less points than us in the last 6 games so it is certainly a game we are capable of winning. On top of that we still have rodwell, yobo, distin, jagielka, neville, arteta, anichebe and donovan to come in. Although i think we are too far behind to get near the top 6 this season i dont think we will be anywhere near the bottom.

I didn't get to see this fixture, only heard some sporadic news by way of radio, Chelsea vs Spams got the spotlight this afternoon, hardly a mention from Goodison, but even I can see that another draw on home soil against opposition that we really should be beating over 90 minutes is for me, not acceptable. I think my overriding feeling tonight is one of frustration, another two points pissed away against lesser teams we should be beating, although respect must go out to McLeish, as he is a good man, was a consummate professional at Aberdeen, won many honors, and did wonders as Scotland manager, and he has turned Birmingham into a half decent side, or decent even, who are hard to beat, and they won;t have any relegation problems next spring.

Not sure on Toffee player ratings today, but I heard that Cahill had a lousy game, Fellaini had a better day out, but the bottom line being, a frustrating scoreline.

Not really pleased right now in all honesty. :dodgy:

Worrying stuff, we can't defend and we have a bunch of players who don't take responsibility and try and make things happen when we are trying to get something out of a game. This was a must win game, and once again, we've failed.

I agree with Danny on Bilyaletdinov, no ones expecting miracles but the lad doesn't even want the ball. And when he gets it he simply passes on responsibility. He's a winger, he's supposed to create things.

I expect players like Tony Hibbert to do that, but Bilya clearly has ability and it's frustrating. Even when Pienaar first joined you could see he wanted to make an impression, he wanted the ball. I don't think it's got anything to do with tiredness, he either wants or he doesn't.

Maybe he doesn't have it and I'm just expecting too much. It could be a case of Moyes simply buying the wrong player. I hope that's not the case, but I'd rather have the enigma that is Leon Osman outwide than someone who's just going to play the simple pass and hide. Good goal, but he's still not doing enough.

As for people criticising Yakubu, he did more in 20 minutes than Cahill did all game. And this is by doing the simple thing of dropping deep and playing a fairly intelligent pass out to Baines and Pienaar. Cahill's offering nothing at the moment, needs a spell on the bench.

Fellaini played well, Pienaar and Baines deserve credit for having a good go and trying to be creative. And Tony Hibbert should never play home games unless we have a major injury crisis.

Its ******* depressing.

Bily probably needs to be given more responsibility. He's scored 3 premier league goals so far, a couple in Europe, and an arse load of assists (in Europe again). He scored today, and Im guessing he thought his job was done after 5 minutes.

I think he would be more effective in the middle when he HAS to want the ball and do something, cos he's got it in his locker. I just dont think he's got the engine to be up and down the wing being he is very slow.

Agree with everything you've said there TB apart from the bit in bold. We haven't been good defensively this year but today of all days, we were fairly secure. One opening they got, Larsson punished us with aplomb. Otherwise, we were barely troubled.

Taking away the awful decisions and our sloppiness, a word for Birmingham. All the hallmarks of a relatively small side in the Premiership doing well: solid defence, hard to break down, bits of luck, very few injuries, and the midfield chipping in with goals. Good luck to them, apart from the return at St Andrews.

Basically us, in the early Moyes days.

And what lovely days they were. The transition from that to a European/Top 4 troubling team isn't going very well at all.

Fair play to Birmingham.

A draw against the Premierships in form team is not too shabby.

I promise you someone is going to get a smashing any game soon. We are improving all the time and someone is going to feel the full brunt of it. A Yak hat a Cahill bullet and a Baines free kick to complete a 6-0 rout.

Your probably right, but we are getting to the point where we can't even make one mistake during a game.

Heitinga and Neill did most things right to be fair, and there distribution was good. At times they where doing the jobs of the midfielders.

I thought that was gonna be Birmingham today the way we played till they scored.
