Thought they were poor as well tbh. Don’t think they had come up against a home team playing like us before.
We're literally going to sit in all season at Goodison because the thought of another Bournemouth/Brighton will petrify him.

The problem he's got is the game has moved on so much that 90% of the league play like Fulham, and that ls my biggest worry.

This season is going to go down to the wire again before we're not making our home games count, its all well and good beating the like of Ipswich but we need to be making a dent in the middle table teams at home.

The final few minutes of yesterday's match showed that changing the formation when we have our backs against the wall can give us a fighting chance.

We managed to salvage a point yesterday. How many times under Dyche have we failed to get anything because of a reluctance to change things? It may have been enforced yesterday due to the McNeil injury, but it demonstrates how we can get a result if Dyche would be more willing to change things when necessary.

The energy from all those unused boos at full time should have been harnessed and used to power the floodlights for the rest of the season
Since day dot the Goodison crowd has always responded to how the team perform on the pitch.

If we'd shot out he blocks, with high intensity the crowd would have reacted instantly.

If Dyche and the team want the fans behind them they need to give the fans something to grab hold of.

Dunno, I think Silva knows how to set up against a Dyche team. We had this last time we played, we looked totally bereft of ideas. We were lucky to get anything and they had a decent number of chances.
Would be interesting to see whether Silva generally does well against long-ball merchants, of whether he's just got Dyche's number

Our tactics seem to be either 1) hoof it to Dom and expect him to do something against defenders like Bessy (who I rate, and who's like a more barrel-chested but slower version of Traore) or 2) give it to Ndiaye and expect him to do something on his own. Harrison had a poor match, but to be fair to him, he was similarly isolated whenever he got the ball.
There was one point in the first half when Dyche was clearly angry because Pickford hadn't launched it again and had dared to pass it short. Really dislike this panic that we have when we have the ball at the back. "Just get rid" is the tactic all of the time. It's always safety first and doesn't work when the opposition sets up to counter this.

Exactly.

It’s a hard watch watching these tactics.

Da know what mate the tactics are the tactics but if he's not going to have the players on the front foot it's a double negative.

Its the same tactics as last season but we seem to be lacking intensity.

Intensity in this league can take you a long way,we beat Liverpool with the same tactics but they literally couldn't live with us being in their face.

Whether we believe Fulham are a good team or not that game required us to be right in the face from the off but the whole thing was apathetic.

For the whole game we humped the ball up to DLC up against 2 monster CBs and got nowhere, so what does he do, take off DLC and put on Beto and hump the ball up to him hoping for a different outcome 🤷‍♂️. That not working he throws Keane up front so we’ve go two lumps up front to play up against their two lumps so why didn’t he just put on Beto to play along side DLC in the first place 20 minutes earlier. To me Dyche is managing by the seat of his pants.

The crowd noise when Branthwaite came on and Keane started trotting forward.
Highlight of the match!
The shouts of Keano Keano, as he moved up the pitch 🤣🤣, the amount of long balls yesterday were ridiculous, DCL didn’t look interested maybe time to start with Beto, Goodison was like a library yesterday for 90 minutes and Sean Dyche looked completely out of his depth from the moment the long ball didn’t work

Beto should start. Because when you have wingers who dont go past players and cant cross a ball it means DCl gets no service. We need more pace in midfield and a number 10 alongside Beto to thread balls into him. We have to change the way we play.
