Just on my way back to Carlisle from the game. Thought it felt a bit flat but that's to be expected given the season is finishing relatively stressful free.
Importantly though my boy loved every minute of his first game and if you're going to draw a game it's always good to do it last minute. Think it was @Bez2k2k who recommended the Winslow for the game. Very good shout and the boy loved it and was made to feel very welcome.
All in all a good weekend and my boy has already asked when are we going back.

I agree about benching Doucs for good and definitely not having him and Charly on at the same time. Alcaraz actually has a plan and is looking to do things while having to avoid the Tasmanian devil spinning around him and getting in the way but ultimately contributing very little.

I can see what Moyes was trying to do playing them both but it really didnt work, and took quite a bit away from Charley’s game, as he was constantly moving inside where doucure was just often standing.

If we’re serious about moving forward as a football team and club, it’s time for Doucure to be phased out. Alcaraz has shown enough to get the 10 for the rest of the season.

Doucs has done a job over the years for us, and scored the odd big goal so he will always have by best wishes, but he’s on way too much money (not his fault at all) and truth be told he’s never been a good footballer and he is the cause of so many of our attacking phases breaking down, its a joke. He’s often the oppositions best defender, just because he can’t control a ball or pass properly 5 yards.

Brilliant post. Well thought out and fair. Doucoure isn’t elite by far but he does lay it all out on the pitch. He’s always been limited. He’s pricey but not his fault. But he’s an anchor for us on match day and as a club going forward.

A nice tribute to our club from a West Ham fan who lives right next to the ground. He has a lot of respect for Everton, and is mindful of the historic situation of it being the last time his team will play at Goodison Park. Well worth a watch.

Is he the same lad that was videoing around the outside of the ground during the derby and walked right in just after Tarki scored the equaliser?

the other option as well was for Garner to be on the right, alcaraz alongside gana and harrison out left, would have still meant players playing in more natural positions for them and same formation that’s been winning us games than what we put out yesterday
