Fair is fair, I thought they were excellent second half. Came out and gave us a good go. They've been on the wrong end of some results this season but they were the better team today. Admittedly that's not hard against us.

Worried about Saturday now, given our susceptibility to shocks. There has to be something seriously wrong to say that. Jags is going to be out for a while at best, and the defence looks shaky without him. Cue the transfer 'kitty' being spent on a replacement defender. It's looking bleak.
 
Even with a full squad I think we'd have struggled to break Bolton down. They didn't park the bus, but they kept Donovan and Gueye isolated out wide. We didn't get enough quality balls in the box and we had no threat at all from central midfield.

I don't agree. He was under pressure in a crowded area with appalling wind conditions. Apart from a dodgy clearance in the first half Howard was immense for us. It's too easy to criticise a goalkeeper for the occasional hiccup and forget all the brilliant saves he makes. Howard, Baines, Distin and (first half) Donovan were the only players worth their place today.
 
Howard was well on his way to a heroic display , 2 great saves to keep it scoreless , then he goes and scores , but his decision to come and punch was poor to say the least .
