I want to ask the decent City fans we have on here a question, well 2 questions, serious questins.

1- Why do City fans talk about Attendances and away following so much, ANY debate with a City fan turns into, who had the most fans on this night in such a year ??

You get more fans than Juventus....does that mean your bigger than them ??

2 - Why do most City fans seem to think you have a bigger following / fan base than Everton ??? Before your new ground, your Average crown was eaither less than ours or about the same....for over 80 years !!!! Also, our away following is much bigger than City's, so what makes so many CIty fans think that your so much better in this area ? is it this famous Blackburn away folling of 8.6 Million when you went up ??? or is it just the Young Sky Fans you have ??

.....We have NEVER had a home crowd of 3000 though !!!

I for one can honestly say when i'm arguing with other fans, attendance doesn't come into it. Having said that, we do have a great following though and i think our overall average attendance is very good. That also applies to when we were in the lower leagues, even then our attendance was well over triple the average.

I think this subject is a rather pointless argument, unless a poll is done on every person in the country, its a question that will never be answered. As stated in answer 1, our fans our loyal. So are yours...I think we can both agree neither club have flaky supporters like Blackburn. I think we have a good away following, im aware there are better supported clubs, like stoke...Their support is ridiculous, they are loud and loyal. But we arent too far behind, nor are you. Think what im saying is we both have well supported clubs and its too close to even bother discussing... :)

.....We have NEVER had a home crowd of 3000 though !!!

Just answered the best I can being this tired... :)

Regarding the 3000 attendance, as someone has pointed out, you have been in the top flight for donkeys now. Whilst there and for as long as I can recall you have been consistently good and the fans have been treated to some good football to watch with spells in europe and cup finals etc...Throw into that, a few very [Poor language removed] seasons, a [Poor language removed] manager, and lower league football and its only a matter of time before you have one game where people almost give up...Barring that blip though, I think we have stuck by our team quite well...(y)

Im not sure Bellamy will start, he may be rested for the semi final on Tuesday. I have no doubt the game will be a physical one, hence some players may get a rest. I wouldnt be suprised to see us play a 4-3-3 with Robinho, Tevez and Santa Cruz forward, Barry Dejong and SWP behind and Garrido, Zabaletta, Kompany and Richards at the back...

I think if we played something like the above, play some good diaganol balls and move it through the middle, we'll score...

Im very happy with Richards and Kompany (barring his miskick against Blackburn) at the back, I hope they have what it takes to stop the inform saffa...:)

You'll score because we can't keep a clean sheet. Sad but true.

Got a terrible feeling young Tony will start at right back to nullify Petrov, with Donovan in front of him. Landon will quite reasonably presume that Tony is decent at football and give him the ball on occasion. Could be horrible.

Short memories. I recall vividly the last time one Martin Petrov experienced the force that is Tony Hibbert. Shut him down to the point where he kicked out and got red carded. I'd love to see that again. (y)

Still my point has genuine value...as your follow on observation has. However I still think (having been to quite a few) the big sell out games have much more atmo than ours due to the fans being allowed much more of a errrr...free hand in the ground!. I'm doing two games next weekend. Genoa v Atalanta and the Milan derby..

Roll on this Saturday.....grrrrrrrr...

It does and I didn't mean to imply that it didn't. I think I got spoiled with the quality on display back then. I still watch it though. Just doesn't have the magic about it that it did back then. At least in my opinion.

i'd have Ireland

From Man City? I'd take Ireland, Petrov, Tevez, & Bellamy (minus his attitude) in a second.

Only 1 fit centre half for the game lids....

I'll be surprised if we get anything from the game IMO.

Boo boo hiss hiss yeah yeah whatever!

I remember that too, that's what gave me the idea that Moyes will go mega defensive and hope that Hibbert shuts him down again. Doesn't change the fact that Donovan will have no help going forwards for the entire game.

Neville could well play centre back by the looks of things anyway. Cool.

Me thinks it'll be Bellamy on the left wing rather than Petrov...

Wasnt it Elano that got sent off that game?

Just thought I'd comment on a few points. Firstly I rate Everton and especially David Moyes, what he has done with a small budget is nothing short of phenonminal.
Secondly, ignore the City fans on Bluemoon who are saying we will win this game easily. They think we will win every game by about four goals regardless of who we are playing.

This game will be a tough, physical game and I can't see anything other than a tight, close encounter which is won by the odd goal. Going to Goodison Park is never easy and with your fantatsic performance against Arsenal and the fact that we will probably have one eye on the Carling Cup semi final may turn the game in your favour.

Regarding Lescott, I don't know why we were in for him in the first place, especially for that amount of money. I have always rated Lescott as a good solid defender for a fifth or sixth placed club but since our owners have ambitions of European dominance, I never quite understood why we bought him. I would rather of had Jagielka or Upson to be honest.

However, some of the bias I have seen from a couple of Everton fans has surprised me.

Firstly, someone said "I wouldn't have any City players in our squad"
I don't mean to be biased but are you really saying not a single of our players would get in your team?

I'd say Given is a better keeper than Howard, although Howard is very good.

Tevez, would get into any team considering he is the most inform striker in the League and possibly Europe at the moment.

Bellamy has been our best player this season and he would have a good chance of getting in your team.

Shaun Wright Phillips would have a good chance.

Barry and Dejong both would have a good chance.
Ireland on form would as well get in.

That is an unbiased view and we definately have many players capable of getting into or around your team so I don't really understand people saying they wouldn't take any of them.

It's impossible not to be biased though, clearly you see more of your players and we see more of ours. A lot of it depends on formations as well, for instance Bellamy is clearly a very good player but wouldn't fit in our team at all.

Tevez and Given would both walk into our team I would say. You can't really talk about players being 'on form' cos it just skews your judgement. The thing is, I probably would underrate some of the City players and you would underrate some of ours. SWP would probably get in wide right for us. I wouldn't have Ireland ahead of Cahill if both were in equal form.

I wouldn't be surprised if you thought Barry was on a 'similar level' to Arteta and Baines and Pienaar were just average Premiership players. Basically, I think 3 of your players would get in our first team and nearly all of your attacking players would get on our bench.

I think you misread it. Some city players are better than ours, but we wouldn't want them at our club.

Except Tevez, who is class.

I don't like Aderbayor at all. But he is better than Yakubu at the moment. cannot argue.
Adebayor is a tricky one. When he is on form , like he was in the first few games of the season, he is unplayable, infact an onform Adebayor is as good as any striker in the League and possibly Europe.
However, he very rarely performs to his capabilities and since the incident with Van Persie, he has been incredibly average and a shadow of the player that he was at the start of the season.

On another note, I think Donovan will be a very shrewd buy fo you. He was very impressive against Arsenal.
