And you pipe down will you,

We really do have some immature idiots supporting us we really do.

They're not supporters, they sit on GOT talking sh!te while the match is going on

Meanwhile, I was proud to be there today. Brilliant send off for Moyes. I'll be honest, I had my doubts about Moyes staying on for the last 2 games but as usual we go about our business in a class above certain other teams

What a game . The occasian really did suit the day perfectaly . The atmosphere was something else . Sitting in the lower bullens and just couldnt stop looking at tne gwladys street start tune of every 2 minutes and the smoke bombs were boss aswell really think we should carry them on . Who ever takes over has got a great team . Just think how boss mirallas will be next season

Good all-round performance today from the Blues. Shame about the missed chances, could have been a cricket score.

Good send off for Moyes too. Moyes' departure has probably been arranged for some time. Nice touch Cahill's presence.

However, onwards and upwards, just hope the new manager appreciates that the fans like and want attractive, attacking football. A cup would be nice too.

Vitor or martinez would provide these

Right let me set the record straight for some of you tarts on here

Some of what I wrote was OTT but I am honestly not going to cry and sob because our manger has moved on to a bigger team

The fella achieved nothing at this club, 0 zilch yet we worship him like Utd do Ferguson

How long have you been an Evertonian mate? Before Moyes came on board we were pretty dire. In fact, we were starting to look like relegation fodder, with a squad full of low-value players.

Eleven years later we are a perennial top-eight team and although the squad is still a little too small we have a handful of players who would walk into the first XI of any other major team. Moyes' shrewd work in the transfer market is perhaps his greatest achievement in his time with us, and although there's no trophy for that you can look at it this way: we no longer face the annual fear of relegation, and we're tantalisingly close to European qualification.

Or would you prefer an FA cup and relegation?

Emotional ending.

When Tim came out too... Bah. Too much.

This.

Not a dry eye in the house here and I am not ashamed.

Football touches you in a way like nothing else. Moyes has been manager for close to half of my lifetime, and with no confidence in the board and Kenwright going out there and getting the right man in I am gutted to see Moyes leave.

Today has been a hallmark occasion for the Premier League - the first and third longest-serving managers having their final home game for their teams, with the latter set to replace the former. Two great managers, and I for one have no doubts about Moyes' ability to use their financial backing to make himself a legend at Old Trafford.

I think it is a case of "if only" for Moyes with Everton. If he'd have been backed like managers from the likes of Villa, Sunderland, Spurs, etc, then he'd have almost certainly had us up there competing for fourth and higher each year.

Thanks for the memories, Moyesy. All the best.

Why does it have to be relegation and a cup or stay up and win nothing

Moyes done well to steady the ship and take us into the top half on a regular basis with little money

But IMO he has been a well under par in the cups

You cant tell me that the teams he has had have not been good enough to win the Carling cup

Feel a little sad today.

To be honest I've thought we needed a change for a while. I think their was only so far this club/manager/players could go with one another. I think we all know the true villain in this piece.

He leaves the club in a much better prospect than when he arrived and he deserves credit for that.

David Moyes I've always thought was a good man, with dignity and integrity that you just don't see in his line of work so often. So I wish him luck and hope he is successful - just so long as it's not at our expense. :)

Loved that.

Good send off for Moyes, sure his tactics/substitutions have often left me confused but I honestly don't think he ever gave us anything but his best. Which is all I can ask for.

Give us a win next week to really give the next manager a happy camp to come into. Honestly don't know who it should be, change my mind every 10 mins .
