Desperate times only a win will suffice, ffs moyesie fire the players up and have them take to the pitch with a purpose,100% committed, closing down, tackling, and going the extra yard.
What I don't want to see is another lacklustre half hearted performance with plenty of possession and no bite.
Beckford is biting at the leash, go ahead Moyesie and set him on the media darlings like a snarling rottweiller.

im really hoping to see a line up like these..... i just want to see some different faces or different ideas from the manager .

Great, a mid week game on the back of a demoralising defeat while were a vulnerable as a single mother at her best mate's wedding.

There is the train of thought - backed up by results - that we manage to turn it on against the top teams in the Premiership which Spurs clearly fit into that bracket now. I think it's got something to do with the 4-5-1 which is perfectly set up to at least not lose in these matches and often grab a winner on the back of a gutsy performance. The problem is that this is great when you have an average squad of players, like when Moyes first arrived, but the 4-5-1 can limit a bit when you have players capable of dominating possession and pinning teams back in the own half. With [Poor language removed] strikers who don't really look arsed.

Stoke was more of the same as overall we didn't play too bad but was really, really [Poor language removed] in the final third. We're the Premiership equivalent of your mate with the fantastic hair and girl impressing talk who just can't get it up after more than four bottles of Stella in the Baa-Bar. Boss jeans though.

Spurs have done really well under Redknapp, who I'm going to restrain myself from making cheap, weak gags about his facial appearance. They are now a team brimming with confidence and some really good motivated attacking players, lets be honest they're good to watch which a large part of me doesn't mind seeing them do well as they're a traditional team to have up there in amongst the collection of beauts hoping to win the Premiership. They're really turned it on in Europe which caused the media to go into a collective fap over the simian Gareth Bale. A fine player who Neville and Coleman done well against in the fixture at their gaff and similarly will have to on Wednesday. They're far from a one man team though with real quality all over the pitch, the odious Van Der Vaart has been excellent, we'd sell our second born to have someone with pace like Lennon on our wing, a plethora of decent defenders and our new saviour Kranjcar who can't even get a sniff. Along with City, they're catapulted past us and if Redknapp took the England job you'd have to consider him an omelette faced hank.

More questions than answers with the Everton team at the moment who are now thrown into a bit of a bit of a quandry up front. Cahill's gone, so who really is going to score goals for us? Might it propel us into something resembling two up front or will Fellaini or Pienaar move up to ineffectively try and plug the gap? Arteta really isn't warranting his place in the centre of the team at the moment largely due to [Poor language removed] form and still struggling to find a cohesive balance with Fellaini there. As much as were not scoring goals, were not really creating them. Some fine poster on this forum pointed out that neither Pienaar or Arteta have created one assist this season which is ludicrous from our two most creative forces. This match has got ninety fifth minute boos ringing out all over it.

Hope and pessimism tug the heart strings of your average Evertonian, with good reason too. January is a tough month and were running out of superlatives to describe how pivotal each next game is.

For [Poor language removed] sake, come on Everton.

Nice one.

I think of their pace on the break, Jagielka carying an injury and poor form, and us without Cahill to throw an awkward arm and unsettle them - as well as his goalscoring prowess - and I reckon this could get brutal. If we get the first goal - who knows. If they get it it'll be a long night.

Coleman v Bale should be interesting: same fixture last year and SC had Bale all over the place. Whilst I cant see that again, I bet Bale will know he hasn't had it easy against Everton in recent matches.

Knowing Everton, we'll probably sneak this one 2-1, and then go and lose to someone [Poor language removed] to render the "gutsy" victory rather meaningless.

Yawn.

Chico. You are brilliant. Best. Analogy. Ever.

Boss jeans. Boss jeans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahahahhahahahhaahhahah

Law of football averages says...we generally dont lose back to back games and we have home field advantage.

Spurs have won a fair few on the bounce, havent lost in a while.

Add to the fact its about time the team and the manager clock on to the table and the relegation fight we could get in to says....

...Something clicks and we win handsomely.
Or spurs carry on their form and win hopefully against a bit of fight.

Big thing is bein able to stop them on the counter with our lack of pace.

Hopefully we dont [Poor language removed] ourselves.

Can see big vic starting too

It's now 11 games unbeaten (7 wins, 4 draws) but the strange thing is this - if you ask any Spurs fan they'll tell you that we haven't really hit top form yet.

Despite this, we're top of the current Premier League form table with 20 points won from our last 8 matches.

We should be very confident of getting something at Goodison on Wednesday but Everton away is always a very tough fixture, so I'm not taking anything for granted.
