Sky reporting that the team were at Goodison at 09:30 today for a team briefing before returning to hotel in town. Different approach 🤔

He probably will. We're probably going to be without the ball for most of the game, so it makes sense to play Doucoure rather than Alcaraz.

That’s the problem mate, when we do have the ball we’re going to have to make the most of it and whilst Doucoure can press he’s a liability with the ball. Also, listening to some of the Southampton fans Alcaraz is good with the ball and pressing and closing down.

Incidentally, the first ever game under lights at Goodison was also against the RS.
We won that 2-0, I'm expecting the same result again. :)

First Goodison derby last time round Moyes won 1-0, can't remember if it was a night game though but think it may have been.

I do not like derby day.

Even though they are massive favourites, it will really hurt if we lose this one.
Yeah last derby and last night game, just think it's one of those Everton moments of disappointment we are all used to when you pray and hope just for once that things fall our way but those moments are so few and far between nowadays. I just know it deep down they'll be singing 'We won the league at Goodison park' by the end of tonight and it'll break us. :(

an example of the often very subtle media bias towards that lot... read the caption for the first photo...
"Sami Hyypia clashes with Duncan Ferguson in 2004" ha ha
and later "Barry Venison snaps into a tackle on Ian Snodin"... a tackle?

I looked at that article and in one way or another, each image was more positive for them than it was for us
