I used to be sick for days in the lead up to this... My mood would be horrific if we lost and intolerable if we won. I suspect the same will apply tonight ..

I fully expect us to lose... Probably in the most horrible and unfortunate of circumstances in the final derby at Goodison. That is just a defence mechanism ingrained in me now.... I sure wish I could be at the old lady tonight because I really hope the atmosphere is as loud and vicious as it's ever been. It deserves that, and if they are to beat us make them earn it.

He probably will. We're probably going to be without the ball for most of the game, so it makes sense to play Doucoure rather than Alcaraz.

And playing Doucoure will guarantee that when we do have the ball we give it back to them as quickly as we can do.

The atmosphere tonight will be the best it's been in years as this will decide bragging rights over the whole time she's been built.....me personally think it's got draw written all over it just hope we don't start as slow as we did at the weekend but the players will know the importance of this so hopefully they're well up for it from the first second. I do fancy a red or two in this as well

I think we will be crowded out in the middle of the park especially with Mangala out. Garner and Gueye will have to use the ball effectively especially when Doucoure will be used mainly to close down.

Key to our attack will be Doucoure and Beto holding the ball up, they have to look for those cheap fouls and be strong. I hope Beto is on it tonight.

Mykolenko back is helpful because we have balance in the left but I think Lindstrom should come out for Young to help out O'Brien with more defensive play plus he will be key to set-pieces.

Errrm youngs set pieces are dreadful and Lindstrom has been outperforming Young defensively btw, when young plays we have zero outlet on his side, suicide v this lot who are vulnerable on the counter

First Goodison derby last time round Moyes won 1-0, can't remember if it was a night game though but think it may have been.

Moyes’ first Goodison derby was 19th April 2003 and we got beat 2-1.

His 2nd Goodison derby was 30th August 2003 and we got beat 3-0.

It was his 3rd Goodison 11th December 2004 that we won. It was the 1-0 Carsley Derby.

The journo in the press conference yesterday said it was this game as well and I knew it wasn’t right, but nobody pulled him up.
