Kevin Sheedy scores his and Everton’s second goal against Manchester United in this First Division One match which was played at the Goodison Park on the 27th October 1984.
Let's smash them!!I think this will be tighter than many expect. They are poor, but whether Moyes can get the players to overcome what remains one of our longest-standing mental blocks, I don’t know. With a few of our injured players in the side I’d be more confident, for though Palace was a great win it was more of a coin toss than some might choose to remember. Were I a betting man I might go for a draw or narrow Everton win.
More generally, just GREAT to be going into this game without that sense of dread about the outcome, and the outcome of other matches. Maybe that psychological cushion will be the catalyst we need.
EDIT: To be clear, I am ACTUALLY LOOKING FORWARD to an Everton game. Such a strange feeling.
We beat them 4 - 0 not that long ago,A home thrashing like the 80,s is long long overdue at Goodison Park.
It's time.
We either batter them, or Fernandes scores a pen and we lose 0-1 and Charley gets an injury/sent offI have no idea what happens in this game
At Goodison we would normally give them a game. It was away games that were the issueThink the mental block was as much in Moyes head as in the players last time he was here. It will be interesting to see if there has been a change.
We dominate first 30, they get a lucky goal/soft pen, we come out second half trying to equalise, hit the post twice, they score on the break on 85 mins.I have no idea what happens in this game
Sounds about right thatWe dominate first 30, they get a lucky goal/soft pen, we come out second half trying to equalise, hit the post twice, they score on the break on 85 mins.
I'll be genuinely annoyed if we don't get a win here, minimum a draw and even that'll be annoying.
