Match Thread Everton 2-2 Man United. Sat Feb 22nd. 12.30.

I fancy us. The pressure is off to an extent, players have a week to prepare, confidence is high, and they can look to play with a certain degree of freedom.

There really havent been a lot of games over recent seasons where we have not been under pressure to get a result. Even at the beginning of the season it felt like that.

So interesting to see how the players respond. Moyes has been spot on in focusing on improvement.

The only concern here is the paucity of options off the bench. It's always a big game and hopefully one where Goodison can get another big occasion and win.

I’ve seen some wild Everton Vs Man United games over the years

I remember us skelping them at Easter a few years back

I remember the tension of the Gordon 1-0 game

I think we randomly 3 nilled them during Martinez’s second season even though we were mostly crap that season didn’t we?
Think it was 4 or maybe that was another time.

Good record against them compared to more distant history.

Didn't we beat them 5-0 at some point in the 80's?

That's not difficult at all
Don't know...between alcaraz and doucoure in a match where a lot of work would have to be done by our front 2...there is no doubt that alcaraz has more quality than doucoure, just wondering if we perhaps more solid with doucoure.

I'm interested too see what happens today with them but I really don't see why we should fear them in any way, shape, or form.

I honestly think some folks on here are worried about them because of their historical "profile". All my United fan mates go into games dreading them this season, they've even thought they'd get sucked into a relegation battle at several points this season.

If we score first and earlier, I think they'll break mentally.

My first ever game at Goodison.
I mistakenly thought my daughter’s first game was Southampton 7-1 in 2007. I could swear it was, I got soaked in the only spot uncovered sitting in the family enclosure.

Decent first game to attend that though
