Match Thread Everton 2-2 Man United. Sat Feb 22nd. 12.30.

Celtic didn't have a game that particular weekend so a few of their buses came down for this game, I came down as there was spare seats on a mate's bus and it was pay at the turnstile in those days.
We wiped the floor with them in that game and there's no reason why we can't do the same on Saturday.
Utd are all over the place and we're riding the crest of a wave, bring it on.
incoming return to reality perhaps. I hate the red Mancs even more than the blue ones, and Ive still got a scar on my head from the League cup final replay against villa where some blue maancs caught us on the way home!! Much more violent days! Anyway we can beat these - but will we?

We need to get some sweet, sweet, revenge. I think it will be a close win for the mighty Everton.

I honestly think some folks on here are worried about them because of their historical "profile". All my United fan mates go into games dreading them this season, they've even thought they'd get sucked into a relegation battle at several points this season.

If we score first and earlier, I think they'll break mentally.
Speaking to a couple of United fans I work with and they’re talking about themselves in a way that’s not too dissimilar to how we’ve been describing ourselves in recent times. We have to look past the fact that it’s man united and look at it more as a home game against a bottom half team in my view.

Think we could absolutely hammer them in this, they look worse under Amorin than they did under Ten Haag. Looks almost like they've checked out of the league and gonna throw everything at the EL to try get back in Europe next season.

Two teams look poles apart in terms of determination, grit and will, we get ahead early and we could be looking at a Leicester plus scoreline.

Along with B'mouth, Man U is a bogey team of ours. Hope we win but suspect a loss is imminent...by a couple of goals.

Only under Dyche. Lampard beat them, FSW got a draw v them in his only game against them at Old Trafford and Carlo got draws off them aswell.

The state of their bench today and not like that 11 is that good either.

This is giving me vibes of the Spurs game. Only disappointment is no Ndiaye to stretch his legs against a slow backline.

Yeah, that's what I've found too. Even right down to the relegation fears as mentioned in my original post.

Honestly think that there is every chance of us beating them and ultimately finishing ahead of them in the league.

1. They are a mess of a club , not everyone pulling in the right direction.
2. The players clearly don't buy into what Amorin wants them to do
3. Amorin's ego won't allow United to play any other way
4. Their injury list is almost as bad as ours.

On the other hand
5. Moyes has completely transformed to club to the extent that everyone believes in what he is doing. He has unified everyone ( well.apart from DaveK)
6. We playing incredibly well with confidence and players are in n form
7. Davy Moyes is a pragmatist who knows how to get the best out of the players.
8. Within a month we should have DCL , Chermitti McNeil and even perhaps Broja back whilst United have the added strain of European matches.
