Everton 3-0 Bolton

I actually think we may lose this one. We have had a hell of a schedule recently and the extra game time last night wouldnt have helped. Bolton are a physical side and unless we bring in a lot fresh players would could lose it by the odd goal.

I would actually rest Neville, Cahill, Pienaar and drop Ossie and bring in Rodders, Jo, Goslingand Andy Van.

The -1 being Jo!

Thats what i would go with. Osman is shattered, and needs a break. Fellaini is still injured, and Pienaar looks tired too, and the past few matches has been putting some bad tackles in and lazy passing. A break for them all would do them well.

Keep the same defence as this is still Bolton, our defence can handle anything.

Tired legs i agree, but surely we cant lose to an average Bolton team after playing so well against the "bigger teams".

But hey we are Everton.

We won't lose, we might draw though.

We have a new found composure, especially with Mikel centrally. We'll brush them aside and see alot of the ball, it's just about breaking them down really.

Moyes will have worked with the lad for a week nearly now, im sure Davey can get him ready for the game, the only way to get match fitness is to play him, i can see him starting and coming off after an hour or so. Depends how the game is going.

Everton v Bolton

Everton's recent performances have been really good, but it will be interesting to see whether they have the legs to win this one.

They will have to recover from playing extra-time in Wednesday's FA Cup win over Liverpool, while Bolton have had the week off after their good win over Spurs.

Everton should win but we will see if they have anything left in the tank against a Bolton side that looked doomed in October, fantastic in November but have been up and down since.

Verdict: 1-1

Thats what Lawro says ...We WONT concede.

Gonna be a very tricky match and to be honest i'd probably take a point cause we are bound to be bloody knackered after the month we have just had.

I'd rest a few players and give Rodwell and Gosling a chance to get some more experience, then if things aren't going to well bring on the older players.

Howard
Hibbert Jags Lescott Baines
Neville
Arteta
Gosling Cahill/Fellaini VDM
Jo

Neville is a machine and will be fine, as will Arteta. If not, I think Castillo or Rodwell should come in. Rodwell would be fine but I think would need Neville to keep an eye on him, keep his shape. Castillo dont have his fans but he's disciplined and has played with Arteta before against Citeh.

Osman needs a rest so bring Gosling in. Cahill might be fine but I'd drop him back into his normal position coming up along side Jo. But Cahill does need a rest and Fellaini might be better.

Give Jo a run. He'll be fit but maybe not the whole game, maybe start Anichebe (taking the press reports with a pinch of salt). VDM needs to go on the left IMO.

2-0

It'll be on MOTD last, scrappy and sloppy, but we'll get the job done.

Everton 3-0 Bolton Wanderers.

Arteta to score a penalty after Jo getting tripped in the box.

Jo to score a screamer and finish the day off by winning a penalty in the 83rd minute, converting it in the left side of the goal.

My team:

Howard

Hibbert - Yobo - Jagielka - Baines

Neville

Gosling - Osman - Van Der Meyde

Fellaini

Jo

If Pienaars out for Villa, rest him, and get those available learning to play together. Cahill/Lescott/Arteta on 4 yellows, cant afford them suspended for Villa (as its over 7 days from this game) so rest them. It wont do them no harm. Jo needs match practice, so give it him, if he doesnt do the job, bring cahill on and revert to our tried and trusted method.
