ive been reading a few bolton forum threads on the game and i think they raise an interesting point.

now theres no denying we played very very well and defo earned the 3 points .

but did we really deserve the 3 points ?

first goal , dubious penalty that does look like a dive.
second , great skill but was jo offside ?
third , was it intentional and was it inside the box ?

it could be said that if those decisions went the other way it could have very easily have been 0-0 despite all the great play.
perhaps we need a bit more target practice.

the first pen was defo a dive & should have been a yellow card instead. i don't know about the offside claim. in my opinion the second pen was clearly in the area & intentional, so valid. but if you change any decision then the rest of the game from that point will be different so you can't predict the outcome, other than on the balance of play where we seemed to dominate.

No

If we didnt get the penalty we wouldve scored anyway, guaranteed. They were [Poor language removed], we were great.

fair enough we may have scored another goal , we may have won 6-0 , but do bolton fans have a point with any of the goals we did get ?

did the defender make contact , did jo dive ?

was the second offside ?

was the third deliberate and outside the box ?

im with you , i think we would have won no matter the decisions on the goals.but if i had to argue with a bolton fan over these 3 goals then i think i can only back up the second goal..... just...im sure o'brien was playing jo onside.
the third id have to see again in slowmo to be sure.but the first was a dive.

id take and enjoy this 3-0 either way (y):Dbut im just thinking what would i think if it was bolton who had those decisions , would i feel a bit miffed (despite being totally outclassed and outplayed).

First time I have seen the goals.

First, a dive no doubt about it, Moyes will have to speak to him, can't have another AJ fiasco.

Second looked fine to me.

The defender should not have had his arms up, so yep a penalty.

Well this one was always in the bag, wasn't it? Doesn't hurt to have the team playing with confidence and control. Great debut for Jo. Good week for Everton.
