Thought he was a box to box midfielder, not sure what actual role Gueye, played, he was just brilliant at it.
Anyway he has pace, youth and energy, Gueye had two of those qualities and a lot more. We could really do with pace and energy in midfield. Hope that Gomes adds the composure.

Gueye was a little terrier who was all about chasing down and winning the ball with pressure

Gbamin is seen as a more natural anchor, with him being played at CB at times and bein g taller. A different type.

Walking back after the game talking about this, I think that Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea are definitely games we can win. Not saying we will win them all or even one of them, but as individual games we should be looking at those and thinking we can take 3 points.

Great goals. Great result. Obviously things to still work on. Biggest improvements since Carlo took charge are the tactics and the desire to get the ball and try to move it forward.

Some individuals have clearly lifted their game, but have probably reached their limit of abilities.
It will take a couple of windows before we have the right players to fulfill everything asked of the team.

Nevertheless, wins bring confidence, which in turn leads to more wins.

Onwards and upwards!

Glad we didn't break Zaha out of his slump and our front two get goals. Nice day at the office.

Feel bad for Walcott as he was looking good before the injury.

You might want to check up on what Zaha has been up to this year. Not letting him do anything while being a total liability with the ball isn't MotM stuff, imo.

A great result, up into 7th (joint 6th), 4 points off safety with 12 games to go. I was a bit nervous at 1-1, palace were having a real go, but we rode out that breif spell, hit them in the break and made it 2-1, then scored from a corner to make it 3-1. DCL should have got a 4th near the end, 6 yards out, ball crossed in and he got under it, leaned back and smashed it high over the bar.
