Cabaye did apologise to the kid at half time, went over and hugged him.

Good thing is that someone will be playing in that Cahill role next season, so him going missing isnt much of a big deal

Makes it even more stupid then.

I reckon its pretty obvious that Moyes desperatly wanted to start Tim next season like normal but knew that the fans wouldn't stand for it so told Tim to get himself sent off so moist didn't have to pick him for the first 3 games.

Then when we lose the first 3 teams he had a ready made excuse to put Timmy Wimmy back in the team.

Just got home. First, what a day!!

Everton played well, Moyes got the team spot on. What happened with Cabaye in the first half? And what happened with Cahill at the end?

Great performance today, I said on twitter Hibbert would score today - i was right!! Also had Pienaar to score first and 3-1, so i won £125 on a £1 bet!!! Also had an accumulator, got 8 out of 9 right - the match i got wrong? I had Swansea/Liverpool to draw FFS. Thanks alot Liverpool.

Quite fitting scorers aswell, Pienaar who changed our season, Jelavic who has been amazing since he has came here, and Heitinga - the player of the season.

Not forgetting Hibbert!

Seriously though, we need to pay whatever it takes to get Pienaar back, he's the most creative player we have/had.

Both of my bets came in too ! Great day with the exception of City winning

what letter of complaint and who said the game was ruined? strange how folks make things up

How many teams will be realistically competing for the title next season? Look at the winners of the major trophies since the onset of the Premier League, and compare with before.

I think (just my opinion mind) that the money and exposure from sky (hence the Rupert Murdoch reference) has only made football much less competitive. It requires hundreds of millions to even have a chance of winning the league. In terms of starting a season with a realistic hope of success, that doesn't happen for most of the fans in the league. In the past, more teams had a reasonable chance of success and of competing for players signatures. That's part of what I mean by ruined. I could go on about debt and wages but this isn't really the thread for that.

I don't really expect you to write a letter of complaint, but the point you make about how most clubs used to develop young players and now only a handful competing for the top players and being able to financially outmuscle almost everyone, well I think the rot started with sky in that regard.

The richest have always had the best chance, but now they are so much richer. Relatively speaking they are much, much richer than almost all of the others.

Just looked at my Skybet and was astounded to see £13 in there.

Put Van Persie top scorer on at the start of the season! Haha get in there.

Anyone else have Gibson as their MOTM? Thought he dictated the midfield today. It's not Cabaye United need, they never should have sold Gibson. Not that I'm complaining.

Can someone confirm what Ben Arfa did in the first half and what went on with Cabaye/Cahill? I was in the Gwladys end but missed it.
