I have to agree. Yes he is very good technically, can pick a lock in a defence. But he's got zero assists so far this season. Yes, he's been injured, but the ****e haven't missed him.

He's never stepped up in a big game. Picking a pass against Newcastle etc is all well and good, but when you can't do it against the top teams you're never going to be vital.

I also thing if he gets roughed up, he disappears. Did it loads last season when the tempo of the game was high.

Think Brenda ballsed up tactically really. There's no way he planned to win via set plays. It's not his style. We gifted them 3 goals.

What he wanted was a solid midfield to battle and win the ball, spring Suarez and Countinho, and do us on the counter. It failed miserably.

In fact, if Sturridge would've started, Allen wouldn't have. But I still think we'd have still dominated possession because Countinho would've been the weak link.

Can't be all that if he can't find a bit of space more than a handful of times in a whole 45 mins mate - drop a bit deeper, drag Coleman where you want him to make space and open up positions for you to move into.

As I said, I thought it was "more" the Coleman factor in limiting him to a few moments around our box. Obviously he has himself to blame for not doing what you suggest.

He's a very good player though.

Regardless of how he set up, you cant legislate for their slack passing in midfield all afternoon. They were losing it in their own half and we pounced and hit them hard a number of times. We were pacy and aggressive.

I said to me arl fella who is unfortunately a red that when osman came on he was gonna cost us the game, low and behold he was nowhere near sturridge for the equaliser.

Gutte we couldn't hang on, what a performance tho, Ross was a beast today, bit of a strange tactic moving Barry left back but hey we scored 2 goals after this change. Deulofeu is gonna be brilliant when he learns t look up.
