Everton Agree Fee With Man Utd For Lukaku

£90m is a good price for him,for that much Id expect a world class player, yes he will score 20+ next season and yes we will miss his goals any team would, but him leaving means that we no longer channel 90% of our play through him,we were lucky he never picked up a serious injury now we might play a more expansive game

Everton/The Media.

Seems when it's Butland/Keane, the add on fee is included in the headline.
When it's Lukaku, it's not.

That's going to transfer.

I meant the posters in the forum, rather than the forum itself, but yeah, seems to me that fees are discussed in terms of worst case scenario for us, irrespective of which way the transfer goes. Media included.

What an utter trumpet lol

Arrived as an ambitious and hungry young kid, left as a egotistical bell-end pogba wannabee. Set himself up for an almighty fall now as gea gone to a team and manager that expect to be winning and expect 100% every week or your out the door fast no matter what reputation or money you arrived for.

Di Maria, Veron all flopped, van persie, Rooney, all cut adrift despite what they'd done.

Don't really care to assess what impact he'll have at Utd he is their player now.

Thanks for the goals and unlikely that we'll replace in a single signing but we don't have to.

We have a huge opportunity now to continue to reshape the squad and I'm confident we'll take it.

Have to say though I won't miss Lukaku at all. The level of disrespect he has shown towards us has been a disgrace recently. It wasn't needed for him to get his move. Great goalscorer but no class.

So If reports are true, its a staggering deal, world record in fact.

£75 mill in transfer fee.
£15 mill in "easy to acheive add ons"
£15 mill to pay of the rest of Rooneys contract (halving his wage here).
£10 mill fee waved.

Total £115 mill in value to Everton.

Its hard to argue with that.

Add in agent fees paid for by United, loyalty bonus paid for by United and that's comfortably another 10-15m mate.

Adidas would probably cover that just to have him and Pogba together for marketing. Not even joking. If Messi went to Man Utd they have said they would pay his transfer fee for them just to have that marketing opportunity. (They already have him as their star boot man)

The influence of the manufacturers in this sport goes under the radar sometimes.

Not even close, they've been sold a solution to Zlatan leaving but he is the near opposite - a flat track bully who goes missing in the big games and can't hold play up to bring others into play effectively. We on the other hand have got a good return on an incomplete striker. What are Kane and Aguero worth in your world?

haha - well said.

I'd put Kane and Aguero around the same value I suppose, though with a good season and age I guess Kane and his England captaincy could make his the new 'Becks' in terms of marketing and his value.

I don't quite get so much of the bad feeling towards the deal - personally Rom has mostly led the line very well for us and given three good years - and he's entitled to want CL like any player.

If he'd have seen his contract out we'd be well out of pocket - and half the great players brought in this summer have been with an eye on this deal - so we have a lot to look forward too off the back of his largely successful time here.

I was never happy with Martinez but hats of to him or spotting this one.

And Utd have effectively spent £180m buying back players their mgrs sought let go elsewhere!
