The window is still open and I hope we go out and spend big on a top striker (not sure we will)
However if we are to compete as we say we are, losing Rom to United, and Arsenal signing Lacazette we are light years behind the top six. Until we stop losing our best players we will ever catch the rest
Haha that's quite possibly the worst "wink" I've seen.
Don't think you'd say any of this if you weren't behind the safety of your pc screen. Pathetic as both Everton fans you resort to that rubbish
Spurs fan here, occasionally come on here for a friendly chat as I like Everton a lot as a similar club and fans to us.
I'm not surprised you are disappointed to lose Lukaku, he's a very good player. I am a little surprised you are disappointed in the fee though to be honest. £75M for Lukaku seems to me a fair fee. It seemed a little high to me at first, if anything, though considering how removed from reality the market is right now, actually it seems about right. It's a lot of money and although you will miss his goals, you will be able to reinvest that money, it's a lot of dosh and you'll be able to buy some talent that will improve you as a team. You've already bought some talent in my view, Klaassen is decent, he'll prove a very good signing I think you will find. Spurs have been where you are selling big and buying in new recruits, and although it will take time for signings to bed in and the media will claim you've bought a bunch of flops, in time most of them will prove worthwhile purchases and I think will help you reach the next level.
The more I see that video on SSN with Pogba celebrating the deal with ManU, the more it angers me. He's basically announced the deal on the internet when the clubs have not confirmed it yet - and celebrating like he's just won the lottery without having first said anything official to the fans he leaves behind. Total disrespect, I'm done with him. Sod off to OT, we've got decent wedge for you and spare us the "sad to be leaving" horseshit post on social media. You're dead to me Rom, we're well rid of you after you jostling for a move no sooner had you arrived.
I just think even with the goals Rom is holding us back, the reason is it all seems to be about him. Its going to be more or less Koemans team now and he has bought players to play as a team with not, big time Charlie's trying to rule the roost. That's why I'm not sad to see Rom going.Broke our Premier League goalscoring record in 4 seasons, at 24. He's a great striker.
Is our poor record at big sides away on Rom? Team performances against these sides, on the whole, have been poor. And besides we'd have beaten Chelsea away if it wasn't for poor ref decisions/defending.
You don't think having a 25 goals a season striker, while improving the team in other areas - like we have been doing prior to this transfer saga - wouldn't improve our chances of finishing higher than 7th?
Different generation. Not really arsed. Instageneration.Just 2 lids celebrating his mate getting a job at the same company and pay rise.
Thats how I saw it.
