Everton Agree Fee With Man Utd For Lukaku

He was probably looking at everyone scoring around him wandering why the whole team isn't working to make him score. He's not use to that.

Looked 90 million miles out of his depth, even against an American side lol. Even the one shot he had on target he was offside, after characteristically demanding Pogba to play him in while he could've taken it on himself.

Can't see United fans having any patience with him, although they have a fairly straightforward start to the season and their first match is against West Ham, who he always scores against.

IF he gets off to a bad start at United and his confidence goes a bit due to the pressure, then this could turn into an utter disaster of a move for him.

'bigger' players have flopped at United, and honestly the only time we've ever seen Lukaku in a 'pressure' situation has been at the Semi final against United - when he was terrible, in the world cup for Belgium - that poor he got dropped for Origi, and against Wales in the Euros - when again he was absolutely terrible.

at us he could effectively get a free pass and blame poor runs of form to team-mates not being at his standard, or playing too many games, no such excuse at United, he has gotten what he wants - the big stage with all eyes on him - with that comes the expectation he can deliver, I'm betting he won't - at least to a level that United fans, Manager and media expect for a player who cost that much.

The game for us against United will be for the media a wankfest, IF Rooney turns up and he doesn't then he will get slaughtered and that will be the narrative set for the season

And a bigger problem is, if he does flop, it won't even serve as a warning to the next person in his position, they'll still get talked through it by their agent

Because let's be honest, if the flop happens, the blame falls a lot onto Riaola, who has massaged Lukaku's ego into believing he is already a world superstar. Sure, Lukaku has the makings of being one of the best players going, but he isn't there yet, so this move will make, or break him. And if it breaks him, I'm not so sure he has the attitude to recover from it

In a way, I want him to succeed - and he could, but it'll require Utd to carry him for a bit first I believe. But I also want him to fail in hope it does serve as a warning against agents who care about their payrises more than the player's career

Thing that'll work against him, his price tag. He'll need to hit the ground running, but could easily become the Man Utd version of Torres at Chelsea. Though his friendship with Pogba might be a grounding element

No doubt that this human reptile will score goals, its what he's good at. Those draws last season, he'll more thank likely turn to wins

The thing that Utd are going to notice, and pretty quickly, is when they go to City, RS, Chelsea and Mourinho plays is usual 9-0-1 formation and Rom is asked to lead the line in isolation. Hold the ball up and fight off defenders, something both Drogba and Costa were masters of; those 2 could be MOTM without having a sniff at goal. That ain't Rom

I get what you're saying but confidence is one asset that Lukaku has never been short on just like scoring goals.
Ball control and going missing in big games however is a different story and that will hamper him at United esp if Zlatan comes back

They struggled against poor sides, the ones he can actually play against
