I think Utd may have gone too quickly on this one.
In the last couple of days there was criticism from Mourinho about the lack of transfer activity and they probably felt pressure to make an announcement... I think this may cost them some more money as they cannot now afford to let the deal slip away.

Amazed that Mourinho is going back in for a player he let go before and cannot help but feel that Lukaku was second choice to an unavailable Morata.
Lukaku, Rashford and Martial ...somebody is going to be very unhappy.

Going to Manchester United is a step down. What a waste of talent

Realistically a step down from Chelsea and a step up from us. In no way can Utd be a step down from us, maybe in future seasons it may turn out that way, but not yet.

It probably will go through at some point, but until Everton agree to it, he's going nowhere 'cos he's still contracted to us.

It is weird how both clubs seem to have briefed their reporters differently.

Tbh it is in Everton's interest to suggest they are awaiting a competing bid from Chelsea (even if untrue) whilst in United's to imply the deal is done at 75m and negotiations have ended.

If Utd hadn't won the Europa, he wouldn't have entertained this move. If we hadn't had such a gash autumn we would have finished above them. Utd have had their time, it's our turn now.
