It's going to be agreed and we don't care what you think....

Woodward: We have 75,000,000 republic dataries
Kenwright: Republic credits? Republic credits are no use out here. I need something different, something more real...
Woodward: I don't have anything else, but credits will do fine. [waves his hand, attempting to use the Jedi mind trick]
Kenwright: No, they won'ta.
Woodward: Credits will do fine. [tries the mind trick again]
Kenwright: [in a trance like state] OK 75 million.
Wow, Star Wars references now. This thrend just went up a level.;)

This time of the year brings out the very worst in people. We have improved from last season already. All the negative heads talking about keeping players who have constantly iriterated they want to leave. Let them go ffs. We will carry on as we do every single year....players will come and go. No need to argue or loose your minds about it. Rooney comes in??? So what. If he plays even half of his old self we have still grabbed a better player than all the dross we have shipped out. How about just letting him / all our signings kick a ball before judging this window as an abject failure.

Again, that's missed the point. It doesn't matter how they use the money. It's about Lukaku staying. Everton want him to. He'll cost £100million. All the rest is conjecture.
I'd rather we put the best team possible on the pitch. With or without Rom. If 75mil and he goes means we've got a better team, that's a net gain no matter what.

BBC still saying Everton are denying a deal is done.

Jim White rowed back from his 10.10 am "Done Deal" announcement at about 10.45 this morning.

Not saying a deal wont be done, but it hasnt. Yet

We don't take kindly to level headed analysis and patience around here

The reality is Rooney has no value whatsoever as a top flight player yet we are being forced to take him on to satisfy Bills bruised ego - he's had 13 years of abuse to take over this don't forget - or Utds absolute desperation to get a pub player who earns 300k a week off their hands - or some combination of both. It was moyes who gave him that deal so the Bill/Moyes axis has come back to haunt us yet again it seems.

Last few weeks have felt like a breath of fresh air.

Today and yesterday has felt very much like old BK Everton.

Hope we hold our nerve.

In frank, I expect him to leave. There isn't much the club can do other than demanding more...he wants to go and won't sign a new contract. £75m is a bit low for me I expect £90m up front. The difference is the add ons and Rooney.

The only issue is the price, there's nothing we can do to keep Rom in the same way Arsenal had to sell Van Persie to Utd or the RS had to sell Sterling to City. I think the £100m comment is clouding people's judgment but also that £75m is a bit low, I'd be looking at £85m+ but it does depend on the structure and amount of the add-ons.
