Everton Agree Fee With Man Utd For Lukaku

The reality is Rooney has no value whatsoever as a top flight player yet we are being forced to take him on to satisfy Bills bruised ego - he's had 13 years of abuse to take over this don't forget - or Utds absolute desperation to get a pub player who earns 300k a week off their hands - or some combination of both. It was moyes who gave him that deal so the Bill/Moyes axis has come back to haunt us yet again it seems.
That's a lie.

Steve Walsh: A Wayne Rooney return? I'd drive him back to Everton myself!
The Blues DoF admits he would be keen on a move for the Manchester United captain this summer

This Rooney issue has been created, then fertilised, in this thread. No where else.

Even United have gently said as much, apparently.
Of course no one is going to say they are connected. It's just the 25% discount has to be explained somehow. The simplest explanations are usually the right ones.

He will be gone by Saturday, there just playing politics of Everton announcing it first. There is no way it's all started today, been going on behind the scenes for a few days at the very least.

I'm more surprised Lukaku has kept his mouth shut about it for a change.

One was a world record fee the other will be very close. Nobody was buzzing about selling him but some are happy to have him back.

We will get significantly more than the 60 million Barca reported paid (or the 70 million they lied about recieving) for the best striker in the world. This is for a lad they regard is inferior to Origi and Firmino. So fans feel we are getting a decent deal for a lad who won't sign a contract.

That's the nuance of the debate, of course it's obscured through the knuckle head Donald trump world of kopitism and alternative facts.

As a final aside maybe someone should remind him they let their star striker Michael Owen leave. Thankfully he joined a bigger club and would go on to win the league (had Gerrard also left think of the league medals he'd have, as opposed to having to borrow Owens or Rooneys to shine every now and then). He's now a club ambassador not just a regular player for Liverpool. A club ambassador, a fine reward for winning Manchester United league titles.

Let that sink in before you take their infantile jibes seriously.
I think I'm on your side.

Rather sell him to Chelsea for a higher fee. Rooney actually worsens the overall deal considerably. Utd have done us twice here.

Chelsea is only going to be interested if Costa goes. My guess is that we already spent the Rom money and had to unload.

This is not good though. Rom unleashed hellfire on us.....at WBA. Rom has previously tortured Koenman's sides. We just handed Utd a top 4 ticket for the rest of the decade.

I've just got home and seen the Lukaku news, £75 million is a fairly good deal but I would imagine with add ons it would probably reach £85 million in time, I wouldn't think Rooney is involved in the deal but for them it's adding a striker and losing one if Rooney comes here, even though they don't seem to want Rooney it evens their squad. I believe Rooney is capable of getting at least 15 goals next season also we will sign a biggish name striker to replace Lukaku it's win win for us, Utd are desperate to add to there squad and they think they are buying a top notch striker but in reality he's only a half decent striker, good finisher but very lazy also Utd will be getting a nice collection on that agents players and there welcome to being ripped of by him. Get rid and move on.

Seeing Stret ford at bills office did get me worried even though the two deals aren't tied, never ever trust him &raiola get them together and it's pure evil, bill shouldn't be anywhere near this deal, as some have said it's like the bad old days!

Hahaha....... takin tosh lad.
Ask West Ham , Stoke or Newcastle if they'd like Rooney and how much they would pay.
90% of teams in the whole of world football would want Rooney , and for good money too.

Err most would like Rom too.
