Everton confirm rejecting 28M for both Fellaini and baines

It's not about us being reasonable though Brenn. That passed a long time ago when they started messing us about. For me it's sickening that we're even dealing with them. The only thing that makes me know we will is that Fellaini want's to go there. There isn't much time for Man Utd to get big targets in and he's one of them. In this scenario we'd be right to hold out for 30m.

Ste why would they give us 30m when they could have had him for 23m a week ago

30m is not a reasonable price if nobody is willing to pay it. He had a release clause 7m lower than that which nobody bothered to activate. It's not rocket science.

Who said we had to offer him for a 'reasonable' price? We don't want to sell, so therefore we can ask what we like & if they choose not to pay it, that's their call.

so becouse kone scored more goals hes a better player than any striker in the prem who scored less ?

and a team with mccarthy is a stronger team than a team with fellaini ?

so is a team that got relegated stronger than a team finished 6th also ?

Kone is better than Jelavic,Vic and Vellios

Even a dip sh1t like you can see that

You honestly think we don't want to sell?

Martinez wants to bring in his own players, Fellaini is the only player he can sell who will bring in top money

He's said nor intimated nothing of the sort, that's merely you assuming that he'd rather trade Fellaini in order to go shopping.

Well if we don't want to sell he won't leave for Utd unless he puts in a transfer request

Right?

He shouldn't be going anywhere unless we get a bid that exceeds his value imo.

As we have no need to sell, as the manager himself keeps re-iterating, therefore we should only even consider letting him go, if an offer comes in that falls into the "too good to refuse" category & I can't see that coming from Moyes & United before Monday.

£20m for Felli is not "top money". £20m is not enough to adequately replace Felli and bolster the squad to the extent needed. There's no point selling at £20m. We'd be better off keeping Felli and hunting down a couple of loans / frees.

At a guess they had other irons in the fire a week ago. They were being linked with Ozil and Fabregas around the time that clause thing was there and they had a few weeks to get moving too.

For whatever reason they've got no one in and he's under pressure. I reckon the board will be on his case as they won't want to be seen to have not backed a new manager, the press have slated him and will carry on slating him and their fans won't be too happy with the 'go with what we've got' shiite we put up with.

We're in the stronger position and need to take advantage of it. It's a game of brinksmanship.

He may well want McCarthy eventually but I honestly think he mainly wants to deal with the squad he has got first. He has shown no desire to want to make sweeping or even major changes to anything yet other than play more from back and speed up distribution in final third. Hardly surprising. We are only a decent run of form from jelavic from qualifying from Europe any way. Stop those silly late equalisers when needlessly on back foot late on in games and we can still be up there.

OMG

That's what I am getting at ffs

If we sell for 20m then it proves the manger wanted him sold
