All the best Bainesy lad.

Fantastic player and deserves the chance to compete at the top level. Just a shame that we can't provide that opportunity.

I don't think it was. He scored more goals, but that was because he was playing up front. He's wasted when used as little more than a target man/battering ram.

His best runs of form have come in midfield. I loved watching Everton play with him and Gibson working together in early 2012.

Can't be arsed getting into a mass debate, but there are plenty of people who disagree with you, and think that he is far stronger playing upfront than he is in midfield.

He is massively overrated by Evertonians, I've actually just seen someone claim that Modric is an inferior midfielder to Fellaini. That's why he was bought by Real Madrid for over 30 million, and not a single club was interested in paying 23million for Fellaini.

If he was half as good as some people make him out to be, then there would be a lot more interest from other clubs and not just Man United who are now being run by an obviously desperate David Moyes, and even Moyes is unwilling to bid over 20 million for him.

He is a good player, but his creativity is minimal, and he is nowhere near as strong defensively as some people make him out to be. You would think he was the greatest midfielder in Everton's history the way some people go on.

20m or he stays.

Obviously he'll go for an undisclosed amount of 13m of which Martinez will get about 5m to somehow improve the starting XI  Nice work Bill!

Sky money plus Baines and Fellaini money - can't be a bad job.

Just a side issue, what the [Poor language removed] is with the timing of this announcement/leak? Two hours before a match is hardly the best time for fans to find out their best player has issued a transfer request.

I can't believe after 6 yrs of winning nothing, no investment In the squad, and no real ambition to challange anything (as this summer has proved) people think Baines wouldn't want to go to man utd and challange for a title and CL glory!?!?

Of course he does, he's a top bloke and won't make a fuss or demand a transfer BUT I'm 99% sure he will of told the board that if a good deal can be done for the club he'd be interested in the move. At the same time if no deal is done I'd fully expect him to get his down and continue giving his all for the club he loves.

Exactly. Everton are a club with no ambition at all, and you can understand people questioning Baines ambition if he decides to stay at Everton.

Well put mate.

Can label the same with Baines.

In my opinion the Moyes led Manchester United can do one after their ludicrious bids, purposefully unsettling our players before matches and using media sources as their agents.

We shouldn't do business with that shower. Moyes is in for a warm welcome after this rank hypocrisy. (Lescott affair)

This is far too little, too late. The window closes in a few days!

In a nut shell. He's very limited too.

Exactly what United, the media and Bill want us to say...

Less than a week before the window shuts isn't it?

I have zero faith in the heartbeat of the team being ripped out for decent money, and better/equal replacements coming in.

We're ****ed.
