Spurs were at Anfield on a particular Saturday in late February or early March, from memory.

There had been a stat beating about for years beforehand that the last time Spurs won at Anfield was the day the Titanic sank or sommat like that.

We all thought "great.....the RS will beat Spurs or at least take a point".

You guessed it.

Spurs won at Anfield that day for the first time since 1912.

Happily, it all worked out in the end when we killed of Spurs's challenge at the Lane a few weeks later on a never to be forgotten night when Andy Gray and Trevor Steven (I think) scored for us and Neville made possibly his finest ever save, tipping a point blank header from Roberts over the bar.

We ended up 2-1 winners that night.
