I honestly would take a straight swap for Hernandez, great player
He's a CM, the only player I would want is Hernandez.
oh is he? well fcuks that plan right up. Is Hernandez the 'little pea' mexican lad? He'd def score more than Jelavic so maybe but then he's not the big all rounder with a booming finish I hoped Martinez would unearth for us. A Chilean Ibrahimovic if you like. Think I'd rather Martinez just got more cash for his own player targets I think (because it definitely wont magically disappear down Bllls sofa)

What would the Qatar Investment Authority have done at this point ? I think they'd have sold both players, and we're fortunate that Bill has saved us from them.
yeah, it's not all about money !
Fellaini has a release clause rumoured to be set at £23.5m and has made no secret of his desire to play in the Champions League. If that clause comes back into play in January it would be churlish of Everton to refuse to do business particularly if Martinez has viable replacements lined-up now who might go elsewhere over the next two days. That said the why United/Moyes have conducted themselves means Kenwright needs to demand a premium so I would only do business above that fee. Less, United win... more we win. If the latest story of £28m is true, even if as I expect a chunk of that will be performance related add-ons, Kenwright will have done a decent job.
Baines is different... and shouldn't be sold for less than the cost of a new stadium in Stanley Park.
I think the Mirror are including his contract in that figure, £28m is the story coming from Belgium.
