if it happens it happens...hopefully City & Chelsea have already beat Liverpool & when we play city a draw is good enough to help them win the league and us get top 4....

We all know this to be the case with a large number of Blues as a poll on here highlighted, I agree with Dustin unbelievable that some would rather fail

The starting point is what is good for us. When we were banned from European football, because of Heysel, we suffered as a result. Champions League would be a big statement from us and we are on the verge of getting it. But all this bull about the RS winning the league and us getting CL is good for the City. We tried that once before when they won their first European Cup and thousands of us Evertonian went to St Georges. And what was the result? Hughes, Thompson and McDermott rubbing our noses in it with the infamous, 'Liverpool are magic, Everton are tragic'. And what happened? Scraps everywhere that divided the City. They don't know how to celebrate without trying to belittle us. They done it in 1977 and they will do the same if they win the league this year.

What a load of tripe If we made the champions league. The excitement of the play-offs, checking the news every morning for news on potential signings and getting up 3am in the morning to watch us boys in blue play would consume me fook the RS

If we get 4th I couldn't care less who wins the league and anyone who would sacrafice 4th to prevent them from winning it isn't an Evertonian.

It's speculation in permutation. If some games go as some games could go, something awful or something grand could happen. Just wait till it actually happens.

I'm still busy bricking it over a potential cock-up against Sunderland!

Depends on how much you hate them, if you were raised by a red family and had red friends when the RS were at the peak of their success, I'd rather come nowhere than go through all their cockyness again, You can say I ain't a real fan but far from it, I love the club as much as anyone else, but I just can't stand their arrogance, so do one,.

So you'd rather Everton never progressed just so that you could avoid seeing Liverpool fans gloat for a bit? Nah.

Everton will ALWAYS come first. Dont care about what they do.

hate to admit it but if it came down to it I'd prefer to sacrifice 4th, couldn't put up with listening to them if they won it, up until 6 months ago I thought most of them were actually clinically mute

If we finish fourth (or higher) I don't give a toss where the RS finish. As it happens I think that they are going to obliterate City this weekend anyway so our match against them isn't going to matter.

Everton draw with City - assume this is our "game in hand" over Arsenal. Puts us ahead of Arsenal on GD. Seems this is best case scenario along with, we hope Arsenal faltering and Everton continuing to win games.

City draw and Liverpool and Everton - win all 5 other games 87 points
Liverpool win 4 draw City 87 pts

Means Liverpool need to win those 4 games by at least a bare minimum of 11 goals (City currently 5 goals better off - add 5 or more for the 5 wins (including home vs Sunderland) - including Chelsea.

Best case scenario....City just go to The Pit and win.

And then Chelsea do the same.

And I think both things will happen.
