It is really important that we win against City regardless of what Arsenal do.

Why? Because it will send yet another message out to the rest of the Premier League that we are serious contenders for Champions League places next season.

To finish the season having beaten Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and City, drawing with Spurs and Liverpool at Goodison will be a very powerful statement and a great platform to move into next season.

Forget what it does for the title, that is not our battle, but to have a record of 4 wins, 2 draws against the top 6 clubs at Goodison will be fantastic.
We have made a statement already this year, most teams talk about us being a threat now under roberto. Them winning the league ruins my year, it would be hard to watch football even. Okay it's not our battle, but we do have a mini battle with the rs, we hate them we, don't want them to win leagues, so do whatever you can to make sure they fail. It's like the saying 'win at all costs'. Do whatever we can to make them fail and we have a big chance to do that next week. Weather the players would do that I don't know but ill be praying every night they will let city win. After the chelsea game today, my dad even said he would give up europa league for them to not win the league, he hates them that much, after all the history and growing up on merseyside. So stop with this 'let's be sporting' attitude and always go out there to win matches when 4th is gone and it's a meaningless game. It's like seeing your rival competitor at an athletic event say, who you hate so much, he is fighting to win whilst your in the middle of the pack, any places you gain mean nothing, anything you can do to stop him winning you would do right? Before my belief was restored after the chelsea game today that they wont win the title, I was hoping utd would sack moyes the day they win they title so remove the attention from liverpool to united, a much bigger club. If you aren't affected by what they do then maybe you were manufactured. I'll be at the hull game and I hope we will be celebrating rs not winning the title as well as our fantastic season.

Another point not being considered - watching the world cup. Imagine every five seconds the commentators utterly ruining the whole thing by saying "the end of a great season of domestic football with Liverpool upsetting the odds to win the title, and now this wonderful tournament"... "Here's Luis Suarez, Premier League champion of course..." "Steven Gerrard looking to take his title winning magic to the England squad" etc. etc.

No thanks.

rs fans always boasting about how good their 'gerrard' is. Did he ever win a title mate? no, tim howard won more
