I was having a bit of a laugh and joke on twitter with a couple of Hajduk fans earlier and asked for directions around the ground, one of them thought it was funny to respond with this, so you can see why I'm a bit concerned.

Oh yesss... thats that local humour. You will always be able to find stuff like this on internet...
If you are scared, stay at home.

If not, come here and enjoy your stay as thousands of other tourists.

Maybe you cannot get an honest reply because of lots of everton fans acting like utter idiots on twitter and here?

13 year olds who still wet their panties are really, really trying to make it hard for the traveling fans who will actually go there.

Hah, even google maps let's Split know they've got a trampy bowl like stadium when we've got superior 4 sided Goodison

I fail to see why Nazis are a laughing matter. Seems you need to come into the 21st century

well, we know you are sensitive so we like to push those buttons

It's not that nazis are a laughing matter, more so that guy is being a dick and trying to scare people off.

As for 21 century, I'd say some stuff but no place and time.

Being black shouldn't be a problem if you don't go around with Everton flags.
Being black, gay, with everton shirt and having a serbian boyfriend is really a bad combination. Celebrating a victory after the match in these circumstances might really have a harmful effect.

In short, don't go around with your colours, don't show you are gay. All of the above applies in worst case scenario but it doesn't mean you won't have the best time of your life there. The city is beautiful, the atmosphere in the stadium is great, food is good and beer is cheap if you do what locals do (go to a shop and sit on wall and drink it there instead of some ripoff bar.

I don't like it is that way but I would hate it if anything happened to you there just because you wear wrong colour.

Sounds awful and bigoted.

So it's the fact that someone is trying to intimidate Everton fans that amuses you ?

We're a bit insensitive to sensitive issues.

Effin lol at that image tho. he's just busting your balls tho

Hahaha I like how it's me being a bit over sensitive and just local sense of humour. No lads, it's not funny to send me something like that, it's just not acceptable.

In trying to calm my fears about visiting all you've done is actually confirm what I suspected. Passing off stuff like that map as a joke does your country no favours you horrible bigoted fools.

Swastika has been used as a "joke" ever since Croatia - Italy match on Hajduk's stadium.

Hajduk fans (among all others in Croatia) are in fight (war) with Croatian football federation and they drew the swastika during the night on the pitch in order to get Croatian national football team suspended. No one noticed it being there until halftime and halfassed attempt to cover it before anyone notices.

Hi all, I'm from Split, potato couch Hajduk supporter. :D

Don't look at 16/17 table. Hajduk is now more composed team, coach is here second year. Last year the problem was weak defence, now that's fixed with new signings. New/old DM is Radošević, who once played DM in Croatia squad. I don't know when we had a killer attack like now: Ohandza, Futacs, Erceg are names to watch out. Unlike previous years, we're solid team now. It won't be easy for you.

WARNING: Go civilian, without colors, in and around cities, don't leave your colors in your cars, or you could be in for a very costly, painful and nasty surprise. Split is not the kind of town where you can go around in your jerseys and sing your songs. Better dont. :)

P.S.

Jelavić began in Hajduk, did you know that? I was supporting you when he had his magical streak, but I knew it won't last. He was in the zone, or something, level or two above his "normal" quality.
