I just realized something. All these years we've had no marketable approach. Now we're making news. International news. Us winning the Europa League, or any trophy really meant nothing in past years. The amount of TV viewers we'll bring in this season will be staggeringly high.

So what I'm saying is, expect an easy group. UEFA want us to go through. UEFA need us to go through. In fact I'm willing to bet that UEFA will rig games just to make sure we make it to the final. All because of Wayne Rooney returning.

Good times lads. Or maybe I'm delusional.

At least you appear to have some insight ;)

Hello Scousers :D

As one of ex "lads" of Hajduk let me tell you what.you can expect in Split. First if all, if you are a normal fan looking for a beer and a good time you have nothing to worry about, you are not who Torcida is after. If you do have a fight with someone it will probably be either Liverpool fans on a stag night or Aussies you insulted as convicts or if you were extremely obnoxious and drunk and forgot you werent in Vauxhall or Bootle :)
What you can expect are proposals for a kickoff from our up and comers. When Stoke were in town we still hadnt realized how gone the hooligan days are in Britain, so we spent the night walking up to them like "Oi mate! You Stoke?" "Yes" "Want to kick off? fair numbers" "No" "...Ok. Bye" :D You can imagine our disappointment, but Torcida has quite a reputation to keep up and it didnt aquire it by attacking Baz&Kyle on ten beers, but those who are actually up for it.
If you however find yourself craving a bit of "Who are ya" after you've loosened up, be sure you'll find out ;) if not, no problems. Police presence will be HUGE for what you're used to, and theres a good chance you'll get a beach just for yourselves and get buses to the ground later and back again. Wearing jerseys on the night out is a big no, if you do its like you drew a target on yourself and you will have noone else to blame but yourself.

Anyways, I'm sure most of you will have a great time in Split, I hope you lose though ;)
Why do people still feel the need to behave like this? Like most sane people I'm all for a bit of banter with oppo fans, and if the worst case scenario happens will always back my mates up. But there's nothing big and clever about attacking and fighting with people purely because they support another team, it's genuinely pathetic... Not an aimed insult at you personally, just a generalisation..

i am watching Hajduk Split at minute, they just scored to make it 1-1 in away game at Zagreb-20 ish mins left, back post header goal came from, keeper got his fingertips to it,while the defender on the line behind him was about to clear it off the line,,they also missed open goal right at the start of 2nd

Why do people keep going to the gym or train boxing or MMA? There's a warrior side to some people that just.isnt going to go away. Whats important is that people who have no desire to be part of it dont get hurt in any way

Hajduk Split 2-1 down via a 25 yard ish shot along the ground, using the oppo defender as a shield to curl it around him to keepers bottom left

3-1 a minute later, mess up at the back

That doesn't make sense... Your examples are all professional environments, with safety guidelines, discipline etc
If you want to fight, do it competitively, with discipline, you get hurt fighting legally you have insurance to pay for medical treatment Hooligans have no justification in my eyes, they'll always be idiots to me.

Well it actually is going in that direction in some.countries like Poland and Russia, but ultras are less about violence and more about support, unlike the old english casual way. In Croatia there is hardly any more football trouble at games due to the police presence

Their stadium is class. Been to Split a few times and cycled around the outside of the stadium on a bike, which is great in the summer. Big running track around it if I remember correctly. It's located pretty close to all the touristy spots too, could easily walk there from the Old Town.

Jealous of all the blues going over, Split is a hell of a place!

You're as bad as them if you're advocating violence at football matches.

Good job i'm not advocating violence then isn't it. My point is that there have been comments on this thread that could potentially cause other Evertonians trouble when they're over there. May be wind ups on here but their fans reading it may not understand that and a lot of the European fans seem to have some need to prove themselves when English fans visit thinking it's still like it was in the 80's.

I'm sure everything will pass without incident anyway and everyone going over will have a great time in what looks like a very nice City.
