You've made your own assumptions about what my post meant though. Fair enough, with it being a message board that can happen. To clarify what I meant by 'hope they can back up their comments'...I meant they can tell them in person. I wasn't meaning back up their comments by fighting.

But given how cocky some of our supporters are on this thread, i'm sure fighting would be inevitable if they said those things face to face. Not that I condone violence breaking out, just that I imagine in reality these people (I hope) would be far more respectful to the opposition fans whilst over in Split. No need for a lot of the comments in my opinion, although I appreciate a lot are just wind ups.

wish I could spend a bit more time there as it looks a great place,dont think the wife would understand though!

So...

You want the posters to meet the Hajduk fans to relay their comments face to face, but not to start a fight despite (in your words) fighting being inevitable if they said those things face to face. You then backtrack and state that you would actually hope that these posters would be far more respectful if they were to meet the Hajduk fans - which I'm guessing would mean not relaying comments such as:

My right hand is gonna put your boys to sleep one by one in the forest. Get your top ultra on here before us. There'll be no UN to save you now.

...unless of course that could be put across in a respectful manner.

Anyone travelling via Dubrovnik, like myself, leave yourself a bit longer when getting coach from Dubrovnik as you have to go through security in Bosnia twice.. just incase you're leaving yourself a little short.
Depending on their mood, it can be quite difficult.

paid 202 in the end,could have got cheaper but I wanted to get back handy on Friday.
been reading about that Bosnian corridor on tripadvisor and delays appears to depend on what mood the border guards are in,
they should be used to tourists this time of year,most of the time its a quick passport check and straight through!

apparently split fans from Dubrovnik use the same coaches and being peak tourist season as well.

Bus is definitely the best way to travel from Dubrovnik to Split, however at peak season due to road congestion it can take up to 4 hours

I fell in love with Hajduk as a 8 year old kid, never ever cared for anything other than that. But growing up in Split in the 90s meant that violence was pretty much everywhere you looked, and especially in sports. The level of connection between.football, politics and nationalism is so high in Croatia it.might be hard for you to grasp. Lets just say that football was long used as a tool to both unite and.divide peoples in the Balkans for a long, long time, and the 90s were the absolute apex of it. It's no better today either, if you watched our game at Dinamo yesterday you could have caught a glimpse of how deeply rotten and mafia infested our football is, under the blessing of our political system. For as long as I can remember european matches was the only football that I could watch Hajduk play without having to think about referees and their political agenda. Thats why Hajduk gets 30k at European matches easily, and barely 10k fanatics at domestic league. Its just a different sport when the ref calls it as he sees it, not as he is paid to...

Knew I should have jumped in on that cheap morning flight from Manchester to Split when I saw it. Sold out now, no day trips going, and now every other route seemingly too expensive or practically undoable. Gutted, really really fancied this one, but just about on the verge of giving up unless anyone knows of any super secret route there that Im missing!

Check Rome2Rio.com (I think they use Skyscanner for the flights) - I can still see some connections for the day before and the Thursday at semi-decent prices. (Not direct, though!)

We were poor, we lost, ref ripped us off and we lost our No 1 striker Futacs for the season due to ruptured knee ligaments

Dinamo were poor too but the ref NEVER rips them off
