The addition of Conte will attract a higher tier to Tottenham, if not just table improvement. And with teams historically below us like Brighton and Newcastle being either intelligent or with newfound wealth, Everton have to get this window and future ones right

For starters buy with sell on being at least a consideration with an age curve of improvement. sadly I have little hope that such nuance will be on display. Look forward to replacement value replacements.

It’s mad how we don’t seem to do these deals. I have no faith we could do this. There’s loads of free transfers coming up. And ok weren’t going to be a great proposition for the top ones, but still we should at least be out there asking the question. Offer money in January to these clubs that will lose for nothing in the summer.

Im not even advocating us spending money on them, just get them on pre contract deals.

Kessie is as close to a sure thing as you can get in Italy. These types you may be lucky on if you offer them £200k a week and a juicy sign on fee.
