I think we have phobia of right backs or Coleman has dirt on Brands as we’ve needed a right back for ages - as a priority - but it’s not been sorted.

At least three or four seasons mate. They have to address it we can't play a 433 when the right back can't get up and down. I agree we need more in midfield and going forward too but it's all pointless until we get a right back who can fulfill the role in both halves.

That depends on the length of their contract. A £25m player on a 5 year deal could be sold after 3 years for £10m and it wouldn't be considered a loss. Finding buyers for players on big contracts that have failed here isn't easy though.

Correct as a purchase of an asset. What you haven`t factored in is the 3 years wages you have paid him which will go annually on the the profit and loss sheet...

So you are correct a player/asset bought for £25m on a 5 year deal will depreciate at £5m per year and with 2 years remaining his value would be £10m on the books. If said player earns £100k per week though you have paid him £15.6m in wages across those 3 years (£5.2m per year).

Does that make sense?

There really are alot of players out of contracts this summer, we should prepared to put up with some cash now to get them in January because I think they are needed now. With the threat we will take them in the summer.... Just look at this list!

There is a deal already in place as it was set for the summer before the injury, it will happen as long as Tosun doesn't fall apart again
