The system didn’t make us spend £100m on Gylfi Sigurdsson, Cenk Tosun and Alex Iwobi. We have put ourselves in that position. No other club has even come close to accruing the scale of deadwood we have over the years.

Yeah I know I'm not saying we spent it well. All of the teams at the top of that list have also wasted 100s of millions down the years on players and didn't have to have a period of non spending. Its grossly unfair we have to do so despite our owner wanting to invest more.

Can’t blame Moshiri for spending the money his managers ask for when for years the cry has been for other managers his hands are tied. Apart from City & utd, everyone has to sell to strengthen.
