?‍♂️

Ive always been a big fan of Romagnoli.

Leader of the defence, anticipation, strong tackling and heading and a ball player...only weakness he has is pace.

We wouldnt be able to play a high line with him but he and Mina would make a fearsome pairing at the back or he could play alongside Godfrey which would cover for his pace.

If we are to be more of a sitting deep and then counter attacking team then this would be an outstanding piece of business.

as if he'd be any cheaper than Mina...

Romagnoli is left footed so he would partner Mina or Godfrey i think. We really need to get Mina's contract extended.

Hes in the last year of his contract so we should be able to get him for a good price.

Franck Kessie is also in his final year at Milan. Highly unlikely, but if we had those two players in the team we'd actually be 'complete' as a first eleven aside from a right back and right winger.

Kessie is Man Utd's cover for Pogba leaving, not that I think he will as he seems happy at Utd again but he always makes leaving noises when it's time to renew. The problem being that Kessie would be an idiot to move anywhere in January, his options are widening the longer he leaves it, not narrowing.

There's no way we can extend Minas contract. He's on about 100k a week isn't he? He's not worth a wage increase beyond that imo

Transfer fee is one thing - it's the wages that would be a concern for him

There will be some fairly significant competition for him, which means big wages and that's a problem for us

Unless there's something we don't know... will the £8m saving on James really allow us to sign anyone?

Frustrating as wth a full strength squad, we've looked very good this season... we just looked, very, very bad without it.

if/when James is confirmed to leave add a winger / attacking midfielder to the shopping list in January.
So right back, cover left back and replacement James / he who shall not be named

i would hope so, i think FFP is also about wages percentage in regards to our income.
also with full stadiums we have additional income again.

I'm sure, as we speak, the Raff Zeppelin will be souring his tatty Rolodex of players who were good in 2013 that he can pick up on the cheap
