We dont, and would need a new gk. On the other hand, I dont think he would be very difficult to replace. Hes been better this season for sure, but he is far from an elite gk. If we can get our money back plus some, thats very good business I would say.

Agree with this, and this is always my argument and why I was so against Rondon, Begovic and Lonergan. I`d much rather the youngsters take these places on the bench and playing when needed, as we seen against Chelsea how much pride do these youngsters have in playing for this club? Alot more than those journey men mentioned above who take up more wages.

AND how much pride do we have seeing youngsters play for our club?

I don’t think Longstaff is rubbish. United were sniffing round him at one point. Regardless I don’t think we’ll be after him anyway.

I think it may depend on how much money is available , now or in the summer.

If funds are tight we may go for Longstaffe as a cheap option to fill out the squad.
If there are going to be substantial funds available we may try for better.

You think we could get a keeper who is as good?

I do, yes. Hes become a much better keeper, but i dont think hes on super high level in any way. Most keepers in top 8 PL teams are of similar quality. If we somehow get 35ish million for him, im certain we could get a comperable keeper from Serie A for example for less money, both transfer value and wages.
I do not think we should sell him unless a good offer comes in, he has become a pretty stable gk for us now and i dont see a reason to sell him just to do so. Fat Benny seems to want to get rid of our decent players tho, so I would t be surprised if hes booted too.
