Don't think that's true at all mate. Quite the opposite. Not sure about this. The bulk of the fees are usually paid up front, you don’t actually get transfers where the whole fee is spread over multiple years.
Zat, I would love to get Antony but he's way out of our league. I'm a huge Ajax fan as well and I can tell you this about Antony:
- Ajax will only sell him for BIG money
- When he will leave, it will be for one of the big teams in Europe.
Before we start to identify potential new players, we should first get our gameplan ready. The last few months we totally lqck one and I have no clue what type of players Benitez is aiming for. Sure, we do need a new RB but do we want an offensive, ballplaying one or an outright defender? No idea... I really hope Benitez has a game plan. So far, I don't see it yet
He's not our of our league though, he plays for Ajax who will sell anyone for the right money.
Antony will no doubt want to play in the premier league, the attraction is going to be:
Richarlison
Instant starting place
New stadium
Wages
My guess is that we could have got him for £35mil last summer, now perhaps £40-45mil.
I also think if we signed him Richarlison may he tempted to stay.
Probably need to flog Richarlison to get him mate.
If we don't tell him that though he may sign
The deal for Diaz collapsed hours before the end of the window mate.Thought that myself, cant see Diaz going there (RS) to sit on the bench
Plus there was no deal agreed, we inquired only and then realized we didn't have a pot to piss in
Bobble and Castles speak so much drivel its amazing, they are both up there with Sports Witness and [Publication is blacklisted due to spam]
This, Ancolloti was worse than anyone, all those hamstrings when it was obviously Covid.Wouldn't it be nice to go back to the Brian Clough days and say it as it is..rather than the piss take and bollocks fans get served now for paying a fortune to watch their team
It's all cobblers what managers tell us
It really, really wasn't. It was obvious it was a load of nonsense because the stories said we were trying to send them James Rodriguez on loan. Porto came out put that story to bed very shortly after it emerged, it was never going to happen unless we sold players. The deal for Diaz collapsed hours before the end of the window mate.
It was a lot more advanced than an enquiry.
Given that he's been utterly mediocre (and that's being generous) for his entire career at Utd, and he only put effort in at WHU because it was a loan therefore he was trying to land a big contract, can I ask are you suggesting we:Every day that passes I'm leaning more into the idea of us signing Jesse Lingard. I know, I know - but I reckon he'd be good here.
