If we don't require the money immediately (i.e as long as its on the books at some point its ok, a bit like the Kean deal) would it make sense to loan Digne to Newcastle with an obligation to buy in the summer?

With us still to play Newcastle twice this season and any points dropped to them would bring them closer, should we not loan him which stops him from playing against us for this season?
If we sell straight away, he's free to play in both games, which could bite us on the bum!

What might not help us is that he will likely insert clauses about relegation so a permanent transfer might not happen.

He's a solid player, works hard, good passer. Same concern as with many Bundesliga guys though....can he hand the English game? I'm not so sure.

….surely we have to sell if they meet our valuation, especially with our FFP issues.
