If at the end of the window our business is:
In -
Mykolenko for ~17m
Patterson for ~12m
Brennan Johnson for ~12m
Longstaff for ~7m

Out:
Holgate for ~7m
Digne for about 25m

Are we content? Obviously nobody wants to lose Digne but that ship has sailed. Coming in we have 3 young players with potential and Longstaff all on fairly reasonable fees.

I would still like a striker on loan, maybe that is dependent on getting Tosun going out on loan because we need to free up some wages.

I would like to see us going for Ben Brereton Díaz from Blackburn, he is in the last year of his contract, scored 20 in 25 this season so far in the championship, but I cant see us spending the money and in many ways for Blackburn they would be better off letting him run out his contract and him firing them up to the Premier League.

I watch a lot of the championship as I actually prefer it to the PL and he is a real standout player but Blackburn want £35m for him even though his contract is up in the summer. Best just to wait and see what happens with him but I know he is getting a lot of interest from bigger clubs across Europe.

I haven’t watched Forest this season but from this YouTube reel he does look very good. I’m sure someone on here posted that on a player comparison site the PL player he best matched with is Demarai Gray, would take that, a younger version to play on the right.

Looks very handy, I know it's YouTube and everyone looks great on there but this is the sort of signing we should have been looking at from the start of the ill-fated Moshiri era.

We seem to do no scouting in ireland anymore, Ireland are beginning to produce some good talent from u15 onwards with the revised structures put in a few years ago.

Clubs on the continent are bringing Irish lads over, Italian, Spanish, Belgian and German clubs all have Irish U21's and younger on their books.

Brighton and City in particular seem to be hoovering up a lot of Irish youth talent that should be coming through in a year or two. Gavin Bazunu is a great example. Went to City at 16 from Shamrock Rovers (after a handful of games). He's been on loan for a couple of seasons and is probably the best player in League One - definitely the best keeper. Currently the Irish senior squads #1 ahead of Caoimhine Kelleher.

I tbink we did something with Sligo Rovers last season so perhaps we are looking.

I heard recently that we are signing a 16 year old lad from Crusaders in Belfast in the summer after he finishes school. Patterson is his name too weirdly enough

Looking at our purchases over the past 5 years - I'm genuinely not sure we even have a scouting network anymore
