Weren’t selling Richarlison and potentially making a 60mil profit. Add in fringe playes and kean and Mina. And you could be talking 130mil add another 30mil for the 4 players out of contract. A wage bill lowered by probably 50mil and you think who ever the manager is, is going to accept players like El Ghazi.

No point in selling Richarlison if that’s the case. You sell to reset. And his profit allowing to spend and maybe help the balance sheet.

The end of the day, I’m no expert, maybe somebody else can explain how the rules work and do we need to raise a 100mil and not spend a penny to get out of trouble. Or after a few years of limited spending or spending what you’ve brought in. Does that re-set after a year or two.

Rafael has always said the owners. Or the other week he called them the owner and sponsor. That they are ambitious and still want to spend and support him in the market.
It's a rolling 3 year cycle, so if we're prudent for the next couple of years the debt from previous years falls out of the calculation. Our debt 3 years ago wasn't that high, but it was massive two years ago, so summer 23 we should have a lot more leeway.

I think!

That's a list of signings Koeman and Brands could have got together and come up with. Expensive and dire.

Pure football manager stuff. I’ve not yet seen how they all even play together. How do Coutinho and Buendia get in the same team when Buendia was struggling to make it in the first place. Can’t fit them and Bailey and the two strikers in.

Gerrard and Smith have been like kids in the sweet shop. Meanwhile Gray has been a better signing than the lot of them for a fraction of the price.

Think we need midfielders next. Benitez has been getting flak for playing a 2, I only hope its because its related to lack of bodies who can be relied on (fitness, quality etc). Someone who can dictate play would be nice, for one.
We don’t have a single midfielder capable of linking the back to the front. Doucs is a good player but he’s an energy guy. Allan should be a backup. Davies is Davies. Gomes…what might’ve been…It has to be addressed

Many of my friends are Villa fans. Seem to think Digne is somewhat of a coup.
I've pointed out they're paying £25m & £150k pw for a 29 year old fullback on the downward curve.

The Grealish money hasn't been particularly well.
You know he's 28, right?

Yeah tbf, this window especially, they’re doing the exact kind of business we’ve been slating Everton for doing the past 5 years or so.

Nailed on to be the FIFA lads.
I can only relate to this from my lad playing it but it usually goes something like this:

"Dad, look at my squad"

"yeah great that lad! Who are some of those you got playing"

"Seriously dad you are so eighties!"

20 minutes later

Him
"these players are AIDS"
"this game is fixed"
"Ive had 20 shots on goal and not scored and he has 3 and he is winning 3-0"

Me:
"arent you controlling them with thing in your hand, so surely its you!" *leave room rather rapid after saying "Everton That!"

I feel like it never is. We spent the Lukaku money awfully, Spurs spent the Bale money awfully, Liverpool didn't really do much with the Coutinho money iirc.

Feels like the right time...
