i rather have El Gazhi than Wobi. I rather have Longstaff than Delph. We need a better bench. But i agree i had hoped for better.

He's dropped off a bit lately, though I reckon he's worth a punt on loan as I belive there is still a decent player in there . Probably stagnated at Tottenham and needs a fresh start . I'm up for this one

Brands was apparently responsible for all of our player buying when he was here so Gray, Townsend, Begovic and Rondon are all on him.

We wanted Patterson and Mykolenko previously so we assume Brands had a hand in those and now we have rumours that Moshiri is our new DoF.

You could make a case that Benitez hasn't signed anyone.

More convenient to give all of the good signings to Brands and castigate Benitez for the bad ones. It’s the reverse of what happened when Brands was here where he was getting the blame. Now though people like him again because he’s not Benitez. We’ll be buying players in a few windows and it will still be ‘Brands scouted him previously’
