More convenient to give all of the good signings to Brands and castigate Benitez for the bad ones. It’s the reverse of what happened when Brands was here where he was getting the blame. Now though people like him again because he’s not Benitez. We’ll be buying players in a few windows and it will still be ‘Brands scouted him previously’
Exactly

i rather have El Gazhi than Wobi. I rather have Longstaff than Delph. We need a better bench. But i agree i had hoped for better.
You would now because you don’t watch them every week but whether you still would when you do is a different matter. Plenty said they’d rather have rondon as a reliable experienced back up but not many still think that now and I’m sure at the time there were lots of people saying delph and iwobi were better than what we had even if they thought they were too expensive or not what they hoped for.

Yes those people were wrong but they aren’t the ones paid really well to make those decisions.

Have to say this horrible toxic nonsense that has become normal for Evertonians to hate on players before they have kicked a ball for us has to stop, it is not healthy.
We’re in a relegation battle and we’re linked with a player who can’t get a game for the team one place above us and the fans of that club are all saying he’s crap so we’re not likely to be having a party about it.

well for starters El Gazhi has scored more goals so far than Iwobi will probably not score until the end of his career.
Delph you get 3-5 games max then he is injured again.
