In terms of numbers I think even with the 3 in at least it's an improvement in that regard.

Imo wanting to play for Gerrard didn’t come into it (saying that isn't the best thing to hear for Everton fans,saying he wanted to play for an ex one of them lot) Villa seemed to be the only team that would stump up the fee at this moment in time, he wanted out so he went.

Oh yea agreed, Lucas Digne is the only in demand player we can sell in this window and not significantly impact performance (we'll still be bad with the downgrade)

We had a squad that was far too thin. And we got found out bigtime when the injury crisis hit us. Increasing the size of our squad was absolutely vital, especially with all the rescheduled matches yet to come. At the same time we're looking to the future by bringing in younger players. And to anyone who moans that we're covering the wrong positions, give it a rest, we're not even half way through the transfer window yet !
