Everton January 2022 Transfer Thread

What on earth is going on? We are being linked with Lingard, Deli Ali, and Ndombele but we desperately need a defensive midfielder. Allan is good but lacks pace and stamina so that he is running on empty after 70 minutes, Tom Davies looks as though he could be out for the season, Doucoure is a box to box midfielder but is also now injured and Gomes simply cannot tackle. This surely is the top priority in terms of any transfer at the moment, not a creative player. We are conceding goals in every game and if we are to stay up we need to become more defensively solid. This really is extremely worrying in terms of relegation if we don't address this problem.

Allan is not good, he is very poor.

If Perreira comes i doubt Deli Ali will be a good fit, noticed he favours a 3-4-3 system. But i could be wrong lol. The player himslef on a loan is a good move. Even at his poor Spurs level he is an upgrade lol
I don't think Mykolenko fits either. Too bad we don't have a left back who could easily make the switch to wing back...say someone like Lucas Digne at Aston Villa. That guy looks a player.

Mosh has absolutely no plan and no clue.

Yeah I was pushing it there to be fair, I was going to edit that bit before he saw it but you were too fast.

He also deffo ain't coming here. I just can't see how we're the most attractive option for these free agents come Summer. We can't even offer them the best wage.

No for players of his quality it would be very difficult. The type of free I was saying I expected was more the Townsend type - not necessarily in terms of his age or just from the PL but just that sort of solid enough player who bolsters the squad and allows you to spend the real money on the players you really want. I was just trying to wind zat up because i was advocating getting a freebie right back to him yesterday.

Yeh it's a decent market - bound to be a few out there. Honestly wouldn't be shocked if Longstaff still rocked up.

Mykolenko can play centre back, left back and left wing back.

Really need to give him time to adapt.

Hmm, a reasonably experienced right back on a free who won't mind not being first choice, you say? Surely not.

You must be having a giggle from yesterday ;)

Cling to your 'Right back Rondon' opinion and I'll back signing players whose value increases :p

Screwing around new manager appointment ....it will probably too late for deals in / out.
Everton " We'll go with what we've got ! "

( gulp )
