Jovic has stalled ever since he moved to Real, although I accept that he's had injury problems recently.

Standard Levy stuff really.

I'd have preferred to have loaned him than El Ghazi to be fair, if he returned to form with a new challenge then he'd be a top player, but not on a permanent deal at the money he'd cost.

He seems like he's more interested in life outside of football than furthering his career nowadays, maybe I'm wrong.

Newcastle seem to be hedging their bets with their signings. Some are good but others are "preparing for relegation". I'd imagine they don't want to sign 6 players who all have clauses in their contracts and could be gone in 5 months.

I think Newcastle have done sensible business. They are not going down

Yeah... we've been playing without our two best strikers for most of the season but both are now back and fit?

We currently have Allan, Gomes and Onyango available for the Brentford game in midfield. VDB is more of an attacking player than a holding player, Doucoure is out for at least a month.

Yup and signing a very good striker doesn't alter a thing about midfield, same as not signing a striker doesn't help it either.

A player of thst quality you get in if you can especially when both our forwards have been brittle this season.
