If we bring in Idrissa Gana Gueye then it must be part of a deal for Richarlison to go to PSG in the summer.

And is Dele Ali part of a deal for Spurs to take Pickford in the summer?

I worry he’s another player who wants to get on the end of things. He worked at Spurs because he had Eriksen and Dembele creating in the midfield behind him and he had Kane as a foil upfront. His entire game was about making runs beyond Kane, arriving in the box at the right time, scoring goals etc. As soon as those other midfielders left and managers moved him further back to try and create then he’s been found to be useless in that area.

It worries me because Richarlison wants to get on the end of things, so does DCL, so does VdB. They all want to play a one touch lay off and then get themselves into the box. If we’re not careful we’re going to have half the team trying to do this but there’s still no one who can play the passes into those advanced areas.

We effectively need the Eriksen and Dembele equivalents in this midfield, not the Dele Alli type.

Dele isn't really a creative player, he thrives off balls over the top, arriving late into the box, if he was to be bought, I would wonder who the player behind him doing the providing would be

I agree, if you can get him back to even half the form he was hes worth £15m

BUT

he requires people who can play the ball into him and I don't see anyone in our squad who can do that

If you watch some of dele's goals, the amount of times the ball came over the top all the way from him is crazy

It's OK.

It could be good value if he shows the ability he is capable.
It could be horrendous value if he isn't arsed about reigniting his career.

i spent the night watching Donny's time at Ajax and he played deeper and won the ball back all the time. Maybe the plan was always to play him in a deeper No6 role rather than a No10 assuming we can get a 10
